Unless your truck came with the full center console and your swapping for a newer one then it might be plug and play, but if your going from jumpseat to center console you’ll definitely need Phil’s harness, you’ll also need them two wires usb type B to usb type B to run from the hmi to the front of the console

Alrighty, I reached out to him on HarnessDR and haven’t heard anything back yet.. Hopefully he’ll get me squared away. Thanks for the info!

This is what the Body Shop gave to me for a parts list (image attached). We were also skeptical on if the entire assembly would show up or if were going to be missing anything. We’ll find that out tomorrow.

The console assembly will include the wiring harness for the console only. You will need Phils harness to get the thing working. I just went through this myself. If you have the jump seat with usb ports and power port now, you will have to remove that harness and send it in to Phil as he has to use it to get the entire console working.

I know he is super busy. He was on vacation last week and will be playing catch up for sure...plus he works a regular job. He responds as quickly as he can. Great guy to me so far.

I read about 35 pages of this thread...searched for a few hours (literally) for a part number for the harness in the jump seat. It's a 23 PIN so I need to send it in to Phil for my harness. I hate to take out the harness so the next guy can't use the power in it. Does anyone know a part number? If there is no part number, does someone make a video of how to get the seat apart? Thank for the help fellas. I already have my console in place so when the PnP harness arrives it should be just a few plugins to make it all work.

Part # - 23200570 (W/O Rear 12V)

Part # - 23200571 - (W Rear 12V)

If you want to extract yours from your jump seat, you will peel up the rubber liner from the cup holder.  Remove the plastic tray cup holder tray liner underneath that.  That will expose you to the back sides of the 12V and USB hub.  The driver side T-50 bolt will allow you to remove the hinge trim and access to clips on the side.  Hope this helps.

Tomorrow starts my swap! I’ll let you guys know how it goes. ?

I was able to source my parts through a Local Body shop.

Only concern I have is the wiring harness; it’s coming with a harness but I am unsure if I still need pgamboa’s harness to make it work. Any insite?

Thanks!

If you have a jump seat, you will need my custom harness to get everything in the console working.  You will need to already have the 110V outlet.  There are also 2 usb cables needs to get data ingest back into the radio.

This is likely missing the top lid.

Please send me another note to bump the message to the top.  Today is my first day back.

So even though they’re sending me a new harness I have to remove the one in the jump seat and use it? Attached images is what I should be getting with the assembly.  I wasn’t aware that I had to send him anything! Thanks for that info. I’ve reached out in the past and he was informative! Hope to catch him up with him soon.

Yes. He needs to use the plug and adapt it for the new console. Or you can order Part # - 23200571 - (W Rear 12V). It's the harness by itself. About $70 online.

I have been able to talk with Phil, he got me squared away. I just want to make it clear to anyone else whose in the middle of this or about to get into it! In 1 day I spent 1,200$ USD.

I drive a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT.

Parts List - Will Update if Needed.

HarnessDr 16-Pin Center Console Conversion Harness - 160$ w/shipping

ACDelco USB 8402232  - $22
ACDelco USB 84022315 - $32
RT Side Trim Black 22817347 - $82.08

LT Side Trim Black 23467516 - $37.88

Console assy front bracket 22776807 - $23.43

Upper Trim Panel (Cup Holder Section) 84092079 - 200$

Console assy w/o Denali w/o rear DVD Black 84502917 - $595.30

$50ish for shipping of the console stuff.

Edit: Had to order the cup holder part separately. Was not included with the Console Assembly.

This is probably not the first time this stuff has been posted, and I’m sure it’s not the cheapest way to go. Please reach out to HarnessDr for anything you may need in regards to this project.

I inquired about this, if I had a 2014-15 I would have to send him a harness. My 2018 does not require me to ship him anything. Phew. ?

Yep. Sounds about right. To get these from me is $1051 out the door.

That's awesome. I have already put the console in and only have one power port working until I get the harness back. I already bought the cables needed from the HMI box. I will install all the wiring once I get the harness. I figured I would get the hard part done first and enjoy having the console feature while I wait.

While doing this swap, I noticed my glove box doesn't have the USB. I think I would like to add it in while doing this. Does anyone know a part number for the top portion of the glove box with the USB connect in it? I couldn't find it while searching today.

The HMI has 2 USB ports available to use. Black and Green. In order to get both usb hubs on the console to work, you’ll have to use both of those ports. Which means you cannot add the single port jack in the upper glove box.

In my video, I show I was able to retain that upper glove box port but I lost the data feed going into to storage compartment of the console.

Thanks Phil.  It's not like I will really need another port really. So the ports in the console will work with the radio for a thumb drive or mp3 player? I usually just bluetooth my phone but a thumb drive might be nice too.

That’s correct. In a factory truck with a console, there is no upper glove box port. GM uses both black/green ports for the console.

In a jump seat truck, the black port goes to the jump seat. The green port is an optioned upper glove box port.

In my video, I “looped” the signal from the black port in and out of the front hub and kept the upper glove box. But that only worked the one time during the shooting of the video. After that one time, the console compartment hub only charged my my phone and quit passing data.
