SURPRISE: 2019 Silverado unveiled in Texas during 100 year celebration

I ordered my 2015 LTZ Z71 and wanted painted handles ext.  the dealership included in my order a set of handles/grill/window sills/ side molding/ and mirror caps, then had them painted and ready for install when the truck arrived.  They put the chrome parts in the boxes the painted parts came in, I then sold them and essentially broke even.  It cost $1700 for the parts and having them painted, but again I had to sell the chrome parts to get my money back
Like I said, "so those of us that want the options don't have to swap things out."

My dealership wanted something crazy like that too. I found everything off Craigslist far cheaper and ended up ahead after selling the takeoffs. I'd rather not have to mess with it. I'd prefer they have the LZ2 without chrome trim at a lower price and offer a chrome package that gets the total back to the same as the current LZ2 price, for those wanting chrome.

Quick buy a 18 before Chevrolet loses their style!  That clearly looks like a Morphed Dodge Front with A Ford Rear; Why?

Anyone see this yet? Don't think it's official, but food for thought.

That’s been circulating today.  It’s a photoshop render floating around online.  GM said it would release the Sierra shortly after the Silverado at NAIAS in Jan.   I much prefer the Silverado to this render..hopefully it’s way off.  I normally like GMCs styling vs the Silverado.

Oh I 100% agree we should be able to have the different options, esp if you order

Same here... I've always liked GMC better. Not so sure this time. I'm sure it will grow in me. This picture is consistent with GM press pictures... Scary.

Take away the black front end and paint it the same color as the body and I now see the Silverado ab6ab88c16235f3115a7810403bf6441.jpg I don't like the black front end because it gives off an illusion but that's just my opinion...this looks better

Yeah, don’t like it as much, at least not yet.  I was actually curious about the gmc this go around but might have made my mind up pretty fast

the photo of the GMC (concept) looks like it has a big nose just waiting to be punched in.  (The oversized ugly ass grill)

And this is what the 2500 is going to be loosely modeled after?

I would think the cab & box sheet metal would be the same. Hard to say how much different the front end will be.

Has anyone noticed the 'void' where the bumper & fenders meet? Looks like a good spot for debris & snow to collect.

Now this i could live with! The grille, bumper, headlight combination flows really well. Still would like to see more squarish wheelwells. I hope the Sierra does look like this.

I can't tell if it's got a key or it's push start...

Pretty similar to the outgoing truck. Looks to be evolutionary instead of revolutionary. Im good with that because i think the interior layout is pretty good as is.

Those steering wheel controls remind me of the Tesla Model X. Interested in seeing how GM handles it.

Pretty sweet. I dig the aggressive front end, and the wheel wells aren't a radical departure from the good ol' squared off ones. The body lines look good too. Those tail lights are a bit much to take in, but I bet they grow on me. The mirrors look odd, but I would venture a guess that they are more functional. Overall I like it, a good addition to the Chevy truck family.

Curious to see what the drivetrain options are, looks like a diesel is almost certain. Bet they will keep the current mills in updated fashion. Wondering if they may add the variable cylinders all the way down to 2 cylinders, that seems a bit extreme

I agree with you, I think we all felt this way about the K2's in 2014 and the slightly updated front ends on the 16's etc. This new T1 is a bit much to take in, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Really want to see the Denali interior and all the small improvements GM is saying they'll make.

Since trucks have seem to have taken off again in popularity here's hoping for another Silverado SS maybe even Sierra SS. ZR1 7.0 liter anyone?
