***Alpine X110slv 10" Restyle Kit"

Made yet another change in my audio system plans! I'm  going all out with a fully active system and Mosconi processor so I'm gonna sell the Alpine x110slv 10" Restyle kit This unit is extremely easy to install with all included plug n play harnesses and is in like new condition (been in for a few months and my truck only has a little over 8,000 miles in 2 years so it hasn't been used much). I would really like to sell it locally if possible (Monterey CA and I'll even help you install it)  to avoid having to repackage everything but I will so it can be shipped safely if it comes down to that.

Asking $1050.00 picked up or if you are interested in having it shipped we can chat about working that out.  831-383-0308 7am-8pm pst

I am negotiable (more so if it's picked up) however I'm not willing to go as low as the $800.00 offers I've received from a couple of guys (if it turns out that's all it's really worth to anyone I'll probably just keep it). Id also consider a trade for a set of these 20" wheels (would need to be local)

Dang, I didn't even know this existed. I need me some money to snag that from you! Very nice! Does it retain all factory functions? Chimes, RAP, etc?

As Nasty said yes on all those as well as Onstar and steering wheel controls as long as your truck already has those (comes with an external chime speaker that mounts under dash and has its own volume control so no loud chimes even if amps are added) plus you keep the factory microphone and factory backup camera. One thing to note is it will not allow use of the USB hub in the jump seat or console but it will work with USB in the glove box if you have that or with the included USB cable.

I wonder what’s the reason for the USB in the console not to work? I actually use those USBs quite often. Especially on road trips. I don’t have the one in the glove box.

I'm sure you can add one in the dash. Just need a USB cable fromthe hmi to the dash.

According to our resident wiring guru pgamboa the factory uses a USB "hub" that communicates with the  hmi I believe  so you can switch between USB1 and USB2 directly from the factory headunit (there  is an adapter included with this unit that allows use of the usb in the glove compartment if you  have it since that one is not part of the hub) My intention was to get a USB switcher and install that in the console with the only difference being you would have to switch sources manually from the device instead of from the headunit (I also found some USB switchers that had signal sensing switch capabilities and others with remote controls to switch between sources)

Yep. The USB hubs with multiple ports have a logic board inside them. 14/15 don’t support Car Play because that logic didn’t exist then. The USB Data + Power/Ground connections need to land in their respective locations. USB data cables land into the HMI. I haven’t had my hands on an Alpine unit so I am unsure on how the Alpine units interface USB. If you feed the unit a direct USB cable from your phone, does that support Car Play or does it only provide an input as a media source?

Marv I have a question—did you have to plug something into OBD2? I watched that video and saw they did that. I have my power steps in that plug so not sure why they need it?

You don't have to plug it in but if you do this screen will be available and if I remember correctly it will also show any code that pops up on the screen.
