I believe these are installed / clocked incorrectly.  On the top you should see the step of the mount / end of the spring.

Has anyone put these on the second setting yet? I’m curious to see how much of a squat you would get. I’d like to run 33x12.50 tires but don’t want them to look stuffed in to the wheel wells. Also don’t want the squatted look. Maybe I’d need a larger rear block?Thanks!

From what I’ve read unless you’re running a heavy winch or some crazy brush guard they do NOT advise running these on the the higher levels. If you’re looking for more lift I’d say get an actual “lift kit”. Looks nice man! I was looking in to putting aftermarket wheels on with a -12 offset which typically needs more wheel well to make turns. Just want to make sure the outcome will look right before I go forward. My other option was the Motofab 3/2 kit.

Any rubbing with the 12.50s or are you running spacers?

Go for the eibach kit ! Night and day difference comparing it to a spacer kit.

Hi guys

 

I bought my first GM Sierra a fews week ago. 2016 All-terrain and look to buy this kit. I almost read all the tread...but i'm french...so i think i probably miss somes infos... do i need to change my UCA if i set the shocks at the lower setting? I plan to fun 33" tires on my stock 20" wheel. Truck have the stamped UCA. I don't want to blow my ball joints.

I think it would be wise to go ahead and get new UCAs.  The kit will give you 2.5” on the lowest setting, and that’s right at the maximum recommended limit before they say you have to.  Might as well do it while you’re in there.  Just my feeling on it.  I’m sure you could get away with not replacing them, but I’d be willing to bet you’ll severely limit the life of your joints if you don’t.  I’m planning on this kit myself and new arms, too.  Love to hear any and all feedback from those who’ve run this kit for a while.  So far seems like most are very pleased.

finally getting my springs and struts installed tomorrow. Wanted to clear some things up in case it wasn't clear after talking with Eibach. I had a bit of a hard time understanding the grooves and what lift they provided.

 

If you have the Eibach springs with the lift shocks the lowest setting is 2.5" with the next setting being 3.2" and the next 2 way to much for this application.

 

If you have just the shocks then those grooves and increments change. If you are confused I highly recommend calling Eibach. They were very helpful as was @Waterfowler41 install video. Just needed some clarity on the grooves.

 

I've had RC spacers on the truck since I got it new so the Ranchos are shot at 60k miles and am looking forward to a ride quality increase. Will report back with pictures and a review.

Have had the kit on (springs and shocks set at 2.5") for about a week and the I give this kit an A+. It could be because my Ranchos were shot, but the truck is night and day and I couldn't be happier. 

 

Only negative to the kit is the truck doesn't sit quite as high set at the 2.5" as the RC 2.5" spacer kit did. I am not too bummed though because the ride quality has improved sooo much. I forgot to take measurements before to see how much it dropped it but it is only a tad.

Thanks man! Appreciate you posting all the info. This kit isn't widely used and needs to be. Great price and much higher quality than a spacer level.

Just out of curiosity with the stock HIDs I get flashed for having my brights on ALOT. I am guessing its due to the lift/tires. Has anyone adjusted their headlights down after their kit was installed? I am not sure if this would help or make it worse? Thoughts?

Anyone running it at the 3 inch level(2nd notch with eibach springs)  with new UCAs? Curious how they ride when jacked up.

    • No such thing as regenerative braking on a pure ICE vehicle.     Regenerative braking is the re-capture of energy from electric motors and stores it in the battery pack.  So hybrids, PHEV and EVs have regenerative braking.     What you are seeing is the charging system changing modes is all.  Its likely entering charge mode for some sort of reason is all.  All of the charging modes will be listed below.   As for L10 vs D.  L10 turns off automatic grade braking.  L10 puts you in control of grade downshifts where in D it will automatically do it based on brake pedal position and other factors.  Otherwise L10 and D drive exactly the same aside from that one aspect.    Battery Sulfation Mode The BCM will enter this mode when the interpreted Generator output voltage is less than 13.2 V for 45 minutes. When this condition exists the BCM will enter Charge Mode for 2–3 minutes. The BCM will then determine which mode to enter depending on voltage requirements.   Charge Mode The BCM will enter Charge Mode when ever one of the following conditions are met:   Windshield wipers are ON for more than 3 s. Climate Control Voltage Boost Mode Request is true, as sensed by the HVAC control module via serial data. High speed cooling fan, rear defogger, and HVAC high speed blower operation can cause the BCM to enter the Charge Mode. The estimated battery temperature is less than 0°C (32°F). Battery State of Charge is less than 80%. Vehicle speed is greater than 145 km/h (90 mph) A current sensor malfunction exists. System voltage is determined to be below 12.56 V When any one of these conditions is met, the system will set targeted generator output voltage to a charging voltage between 13.9–15.5 V, depending on the battery state of charge and estimated battery temperature.   Fuel Economy Mode The BCM will enter Fuel Economy Mode when the estimated battery temperature is at least 0°C (32°F) but less than or equal to 80°C (176°F), the calculated battery current is less than 15 A and greater than −8 A, and the battery state-of-charge is greater than or equal to 80%. Its targeted generator output voltage is the open circuit voltage of the battery and can be between 12.5–13.1 V. When fuel economy mode is active, the generator is not charging, only maintaining open circuit battery voltage. The BCM will exit this mode and enter Charge Mode when any of the conditions described above are present.   Headlamp Mode The BCM will enter Headlamp Mode when ever the head lamps are ON (high or low beams). Voltage will be regulated between 13.9–14.5 V.   Start Up Mode When the engine is started the BCM sets a targeted generator output voltage of 14.5 V for 30 s.   Tow/Haul Mode (if applicable) Pressing the Tow/Haul Mode button located on the center stack, the vehicle system voltage is raised and the remote (non-vehicle) battery will be charged. Having the headlamps on will raise the system voltage and if the Tow/Haul button is applied it will not serve any purpose. The voltage is regulated between 13.9-14.5 V.      
    • Hello from Australia Just sharing that there is now a way to delete the active shutters entirely with just a plug in module. Opens up tons of room to light bars etc.
    • I have an observation and a question... 1) I watch the voltage closely because I have had to dial in the cut-in/cut-out voltages of the battery separator to my camper.  The "smart" charging drives me nuts.  Anyway, I noticed that when coasting for a while, and especially if lightly using the brakes (though not necessary), the voltage goes up from mid/high-13 volts to mid/high-14 volts.  Then it drops back down after stopping or going again.  Consistently!   The only explanation I can come up with is REGENERATIVE BRAKING!  Well, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but it's certainly free extra battery charging.   2) Driving on mountain roads I will use L and vary the max gear.  Things straighten out and I end up in L10.  Sometimes I leave it there for a while.  Is there any difference between L10 and D?   
    • Do you think this width might affect the chalk test with a higher pressure closer to 65psi? I think lowering the pressure makes sense to get the tread to lay flatter
