GM Waiting to Fix Transmission on my 1 Day old AT4

Lol your living in a fantasy world bud every forum on the net. The same issues with this truck my 17 had the brake pump go out on me last week nearly rolled down a hill have you looked at the pulley and the pump ? Looks like a pulley is a snowblower lol ****ing junk with a 3/8 belt. I really don’t blame you for defending your purchase but reality is that all these things will fail. I’ve been in the automotive business 30 years as an independent . There’s not one manufacture that doesnt have problems but Gm dropped the ball on all there parts they install on these rigs. They buy the cheapest from China charge a bundle for the looks of the trucks . But quality is crap. Drive it for awhile you might change your tune once all these issues come about.

Sorry this guy thinks he’s a literature teacher and expert . People have the right to there own opinions and comments about the truck brand . All these issues are well documented all over the net. There’s no such thing as “well mine doesn’t do it” or “I have no issues “ what many are simply saying is eventually you will be in the same boat as everyone else. These transmissions will fail as many other parts on the Silverado and Sierra models. Usually out of warranty. Is there one manufacture better than another? No . They all have issues but if we do t make noise about it then it get swept under the rug.

There is such a thing as:  "Mine doesn't do it" and "I have no issues"

These trucks do not have a 100% failure rate.  Which is what you just claimed in your post.

 

I get that these trucks have problems, and for the people experiencing them it sucks.  Bad.

But saying that every 8spd transmission is going to nuke itself with your only basis being what you read on this board is terribly misleading.

 

I come to the troubleshooting forum to see what the typical problems for these trucks are, which I am an owner of one.

But it seems that all these posts just devolve into name calling...
