I took my 14 Sierra in 2 weeks ago and am waiting on Volsa bulbs. I really do believe my dealer could care less about my satisfaction with their product. My remedy was to install Putco Nite-lux LED bulbs in the fog lamp housings. Problem solved. If my vehicle ever receives the headlamp upgrade I will decide then if I need to install HIDs in the headlamp housings.

Yeah well it wasn't...so...if anyone who has the doc can scan all 4 pages for me so I can physically hand him the newest document that'd be great.

I can't print out shitty html pics and the pdf of the updated doc here is only two pages...so I've read every single page of this thread before I asked for a clean complete pdf. You two smarties can either help by scanning a document or go read the thread and find an outdated pdf, an incomplete updated pdf, and shitty html pictures...or you can read my posts and comprehend my dealer is autistic and even with the two doc and pit numbers they still can't get it.

Do you have any other questions? I can walk you through 3rd grade again if you'd like...

Mike

I don't think any documents are going to help you either. It's apparent that we can't help you. You just want to whine and then dump on those of us who have gone through the proper process, and are sharing all the information on here for all.

No, you have not read through every page, or, you did not comprehend what you were trying to read. The answers are all there......

Fix it yourself. Seems third grade did not do you much good ......

"Nuff said " ........... Now then, I have some cheese to go along with your whine ..........

My dealer did 5 trucks right after mine was done.

My Service Rep truck, the Service Manager, the Sales Manager and two Salemen.

So that's how much of a difference it made..

Actually, a member on here who is actually helpful scanned me the 4 pages. I forwarded the pdf along to my service manager, he finally found it and ordered the parts. This process started well over a week before I asked for help. I even waited for this to be a known issue and then finally asked my dealer because I knew they were jackasses regarding this stuff...I wanted to give them time to hear about the update so I wasn't the test subject.

I'll give you the cork from my whine bottle and you know where to use it but thanks for the cheese.

Thanks.

I just don't see what 4 copies of a document number does versus 2, it's the same number printed at the top of each page. Maybe some of your dealer's employees need to go back to 3rd grade!

So I go in to dealer today because my "easy exit" seat ain't so easy..I also have water in my driver side fog light.

Because of you intelligent folk, I bring up the TSB about my shitty headlights. The clown in service basically gives me the look of "you found that on the Internet? Usually only 50% accurate". To which I reply, "when you drive a 50k truck and hate the headlights, I expect it to be fixed if the manufacturer acknowledges that they suck" ... He backed off after that.

Long/short, new bulbs are back order and turns; my "online info" is correct. [emoji106]

Yeah it's not so much "online info" as it is fact since we do have official GM documents.

I get what service departments are doing and I'm sure they don't like being told shit they should know first. What can you do?

Look out for #1

Still waiting a call back from the dealer since ordering replacement bulbs, going on two weeks.

Today I decided to measure the voltage output to the OEM bulbs, pre TSB update.

Here's what I got......

Engine OFF, Headlights OFF

Engine ON, Headlights ON

Voltage didn't change with DRL's or High beam on / off.

Wondering how it compares to BCM update?

Sorry about the large pics, new 'puter. Need an image resizer, lol.

Hmm 14.3 is good voltage. Like you wondering what voltage is after BCM update. Wonder how many more volts can a stock bulb handle. Maybe the Vosla bulbs can handle much more voltage and is why they are using them instead of just the update with stock bulbs. Voltage won't change between high/low beam because a shutter opens for high beam.

My dealer updated my BCM weeks before they installed the Volsa bulbs for other reasons. I was told the voltage increase was going into the stock bulbs for 2 weeks before the new bulbs were installed.

And that we don't know for sure until we see post TSB voltage readings :dunno:

My dealer did mine yesterday. The service guy was awesome to deal with. Took some digging to find the TSB a week ago but he was determined to find it. They actually asked me about my catch can and they were dumb-founded by how much I had caught in just 1k miles. As for the bulbs: the end result is amazing. I may have to lower the aim a tad. GM did this right in my opinion.

Did they not do the aim part of the procedure?
