S&B Cold Air Intake

I just installed the S&B Cold Air Intake is it is awesome. I have noticed better throttle response especially in situations like rolling on the throttle after taking turns at intersections. Previously the motor bogged down in those situations but now it comes alive.

My 2016 had this intake and Flowmasters installed when I bought it. It’s a great sounding combo, and that plexiglass lid is really cool looking.

I went this route even though it wasn't on the acclaimed black bear test. I like the fit and finish and I know it's mostly in my head. But it does feel a bit snappier. Especially with the tune. The sound doesn't bother me like it does some people and it's really only at full throttle.

It makes the engine bay look a million times better.

Are you guys going with the oiled filter or the dry filter? Thought the dry filter was better for our engines?

i'm running oiled, because I don't want to replace it i'd rather recondition it. I don't think one is better per the other for our engines specifically, that sounds like pinching hairs.

I cant imagine not having it on. This with the Borla dual cat back exhaust should almost be considered standard equipment.

Is the tube the same diameter throughout? Some of the manufacturers pics it looks wider at the throttle body than the filter side. It's hard to tell in the installed pics above.

Are you guys in hot climates running with the plug on the bottom in or removed?

I am in PA so hot summer and cold winter. I've been running no plug for now, debating on trying it with the plug.
