2018 Silverado has more wind noise than my 2015?

Just purchased a 2018 z71 after the torque converter died on my 2015. Really like the newer front end, however I have noticed a lot of wind noise from my drivers window vs my 2015 model, anyone seen this issue?

Some have had luck taking the mirror off and adding foam insulation between the mirror and the sail panel.

 

Rumor is that's why GM moved the mirrors out of the sail panel and down in to the door shell.

Have you found a fix for this issue? It’s very annoying.  My 2014 was sealed tight as you couldn’t hear anything but muffled sounds from outside of the cabin.  There is hardly a difference with the door open or closed on my  2018.

Do you have the little visors that go around the top edge of the window?

 

I only ask because I took my 100% stock Z71 for a 2500 mile trip and didnt think it was noisy. Then when I got home I put on the window visors that came in and next time on the highway I was thinking they sure made it a lot louder in that cab!

No visors. It’s all stock.

I have the ones that don’t stick out much and they do make wind noise, I suspect the ones that protrude out more will make a bit more. They are almost flush with the window.
