Those Wrangler AT/S get bad reviews, but I love mine.  I specifically sought them out because I like the quiet smooth ride.  They seem to balance very nicely.

Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S was stock on GM trucks for many years, and is still the A/T option on some trims.

Goodyear Wrangler SR-A is now stock on many Silverados.

Both come in a P265/70R17

The Good Year Wranglers look like they are coming stock on many vehicles now. 

 

So is the Bridgestone Dueler that you listed considered a passenger tire, do you know if it is similar to the Good Year Wranglers I posted earlier?

As mentioned earlier in the tread, the Dueller RH-S comes in numerous load ratings, including a P rated tire. I’d say it is certainly similar to the Wrangler ATS.

I have them on my truck for a really long time and loved them. The only bad reviews I have ever seen is from people saying they get frequent flats. However, methinks this is people that constantly abuse them. I treated those tires badly, off road, gravel driveways, climbing rocks, everything you could think of. The only flat I ever got was when my girl friend drove it over an area with very sharp rocks. I loved those tires.

I have had good results with the dealership for tires.  They sell them as loss leaders.  Plus, a high end Hunter road force balancer is a mandatory tool for GM shops.

Ok, so you've had these tires on your truck for 16 months and you're only now noticing the change in ride? 

And you've only put 1000 miles on the truck in that time?

And you had no way of accurately measuring your tire pressure until you finally bought an accurate gauge?

The tires you have get a 9.4 rating on ride quality, from 277 submissions covering over 5 million miles of driving.  The Duratracs on my truck, which I love and I think the ride is very good, get only an 8.3 out of 739 submissions and over 13 million miles.

 

Sorry man, given the facts at hand, I'd say the problem is you, not the tires.

 

PS - yes, I would recommend airing them down to 30 to see how that affects the ride.  I would also do the chalk test to make sure you won't cause abnormal wear.

I’m assuming that they weren’t bad when you left the dealer or you would have turned around. That being so with the miles you mentioned you’ve driven it, you could be experiencing sitting bounce. Some tires are worse than others. I’ve seen some take 20 miles to smooth out after sitting only a week. You’d already tried lower air pressure. Could be shocks, bad shocks can cause bad tire bounce. Out of date tires can do that too. I’ve had collector cars with new looking tires be out of date and bounce.

First of all you obviously are having trouble reading? Possibly a second language for you? If you are confused you should take the time to go back and read. You have a 2500 as well correct? Then your truck probably weighs the tires down better than mine.

No, they were bad when I left the dealer. My frame of mind was to not judge them instantly. Especially since Costco does not do alignments. So I figured I would get the truck aligned, let them wear a little, and check the pressure. Then I just got busy and sort of put the truck over to the side and stopped driving it. Just as I mentioned before I realize this is my fault, I obviously should have made the time to address the issue. 

 

So I just our Toyota Camry whenever possible and only used the truck for work related purposes. Also other people have rode in, and driven the truck and notice that the ride is not comfortable. My father used to drive my truck and is noticing the same thing I am, so it is not just me. The only way to describe it is that the tires feel like they are made of stone. You can really feel it when you get above 60 MPH as the truck honestly feels like it is going to fall apart.

I think I already mentioned this, but the Costco assistant general manager said we could definitely work something out within reason. I am planning on making the trip tomorrow, this Costco is about forty-five minutes to one hour from where I live so that is also an obstacle. He mentioned that he would like to work it out between us, which basically means that he wants to outfit me with a new set of tires from their lineup rather than give a refund.

 

Just as I already mentioned I have no problem with that, I am the one at fault here for waiting. I even feel sort of bad doing this to a business that has otherwise offered me good service. So it is nice to see people liking the Bridgestone Dueler tires as it might be something I have to considered. I also noticed that they have a better speed rating, which is S I believe as opposed to R? Both the Michelin's and Good Years I previously had on the truck had an R rating so not sure how I feel about moving to an S. Might have to take what I can get. 

 

I would like to get the Good Year Wranglers again or something that is a very, very close equivalent. They offered excellent all around traction and rode very smoothly. I will update tomorrow after the trip to Costco. I appreciate the advice and recommendations.

I read just fine....and since you clearly can't read the first line of my sig, I have a Sierra Denali 1500 with LTX tires and they ride great.  Here are some of your own words from this thread...lots of "forgot," "confused," and just wrong information.  You forgot when you got them and you weren't even sure the pressure in them until you went out and bought a tire gauge.

Also can I ask why you made that statement? Do you think the truck should ride better? Do you think there is something wrong with them?

Obviously you are having various problems here. I realize it is not your signature, but I looked under your profile at first. Also for a guy doing so much quoting, you sure missed the part where I said "My truck has rode terrible ever since then, I am sort of avoiding driving it now and hate that". I included that for your convenience also, since you are obviously incapable of seeing anything other than want you want to see. 

 

I have plenty of tire gauges, literally all over the place, I believe I even previously mentioned having one on my tire inflator that goes with my air compressor. However, just about all of them are at least a couple PSI off so I purchased a more reliable one. I remembered bringing the tire pressure back down to 35 PSI when I began checking. That was around a year ago since you need me to explain myself. Do you know how many tires I have put air into since then? 

 

Please take your time elsewhere, you are wasting both mine and your own now.

From what I ve read here, you bought a pair of tires - instead of a set of four? Is that correct? If not, why wouldn't you replace all four to ensure proper ride and function of your ABS system? 16 months after purchase, with the truck sitting for various periods of time, not knowing for sure the PSI in each tire, you are finally contacting the business to see if they will help you out.

I'd have been back within the first week to resolve the issue, starting with them making sure the PSI was at what the door panel says. Then doing a road force balance, and/or getting an alignment done as well.
