Pretty sad, 1 (2014) Sierra, 2 (2014) Silverado, 1 (2015) Silverado all traded in at the local Hyundai dealership because most other dealerships have caught on to the issues and don't want them.

Tried to trade my 2nd vibrator for a Ford and was pretty much told they didn't want it. Have a 16 Sierra on order because we are almost stuck with these things or take a huge hit. Hoping I finally get a good one. Ordered in case they have changed some things they haven't advertised instead of buying off the lot. Have decided if the next one is good, it will be gone when the deals for 2017-18 F150's are out there. This will be my third different truck in less then a year and it is pretty obvious they have no clue how to fix them and I don't think they really care.

The first Toyota dealer I went to openly stated they didn't want my 2016 Silverado because they knew of the issue. The truck had 600 miles on it. The next dealer offered me $32k for a truck that had a sticker price of $53k. I don't know if I ended up with a good deal or not but I settled for $41.5k for my brand new '16 Silverado and paid sticker for a Tundra. I ended up with three new trucks in under 5 months. I couldn't be happier with my Tundra.

 

I'm hoping the class action suit comes to fruition!

odd that they dont list the pick-ups in this. I think they may really be referring to the pressurization issue in the SUV's more than the vibration we have

 

I guess it depends on what you consider a truck:

 

"W&L is considering a consumer class action lawsuit against General Motors (GM) to hold the carmaker responsible for an as-yet unidentified problem causing some 2015 full-size trucks and SUVs to dangerously vibrate when driven at highway speed"

Presumably traded in for that new Elantra full size pickup? :crackup:

The first Toyota dealer I went to openly stated they didn't want my 2016 Silverado because they knew of the issue. The truck had 600 miles on it. The next dealer offered me $32k for a truck that had a sticker price of $53k. I don't know if I ended up with a good deal or not but I settled for $41.5k for my brand new '16 Silverado and paid sticker for a Tundra. I ended up with three new trucks in under 5 months. I couldn't be happier with my Tundra.

Glad you are happy because it seems like you took a hit by what you've wrote, being that you probably paid around 60K for a Tundra (Tundra Double Cab Limited is around 50K+, and the over 10K depreciation hit that you took).

 

Most importantly, you have piece of mind and are happy with your purchase.

My wife drives a 15 Sonata, $128 per month lease. Their building damn good cars, hell of a lot better then GM is building these trucks. I test drove a Malibu first, total POS.

Maybe it would help for folks to contact this firm via their website to report our truck problems. It's easy to submit an email from their "contact us" tab.

before you go contacting them, look at the reviews on them, This firm is nothing more than ambulance chasers... there are tons of bad reviews and reports on them. I started talking to Hagens&Berman's Seattle Office last week to try to get them to take the case. They are currently handling 3 class action cases against GM for the ignition switch fiasco. (1 National Class action, 2 on behalf of the Attorney General for 2 different states)... We should all be contacting Hagens&Berman, they are a much better firm.

Yes that text says trucks and SUV's, but the list they show only includes SUV's

I've had the same conversation with both a Ford and Ram dealer, MSRP of my truck is about 62k (including all options accessories and extended warranties) and they offered me 32k at the ford dealer and 35k at the Ram dealer. After Calculating it, I should have been offered around 45k (after deducting for depreciation and all incentives received) One of the things I want to talk to the attorney about is whether I can go trade it for whatever I can get they get the difference out of a lawsuit. Realistically I could file 4 individual suits myself for all of the different issues, one of which includes fraud that I have physical written proof of. If I wanted to take the time to go that route, I could get way more than the MSRP of the truck, but I don't really want to spend the time dealing with that. I just want a truck that works as its supposed to.

I would say you did pretty good! When I was shopping for my new truck the Tundra was at the top of my list but I had trouble finding the config I wanted (ext cab w/ bench seat & 5.7 in black) but the few I did find I couldn't get the dealerships to budge more than $500 off of sticker. If your truck stickered for 53K then in reality it was worth about 37K when you signed the papers because GM trucks are way overpriced so anybody can get 20% off MSRP which makes everbody else's trucks on this forum worth less then knock off another 20% for first year depreciation. This is why Toyota trucks hold their value so well is because they rarely come off MSRP and they are pretty much trouble free, just love to drink gas.

I got $4500 off the sticker on my 2016 Tundra that I just bought last week. They didn't want to budge from $750 and I went to leave and they dropped the price significantly.

The people on this thread are the ones who have vibration problems, including myself, that is how I joined this forum because of my vibration problems. In the year and half I have owned my 2014 I have talked to now over a hundred people who have a K2 trucks and none of them said they had a vibration problem. This is people I have talked to on the interstate when getting gas (I am up and down the interstate for my job everyday) where the posted speed limit is 70 and everybody does at least 75. There is also a another thread on who has vibration issues and the majority don't have the problem. My truck still shakes slightly at 72 mph and has random shakes at lower speeds based on the temps and even though it sucks the reality is that myself and others on here are still in the vast minority. Those that test drove a dozen trucks and said they all shake is puzzling and doubtful.

Agree 100% with this. My truck is vibration free and have talked to others at gas stations that have no issues or vibrations.

 

For those that are buying Tundras, my mom used to sell Toyotas. She said ask for invoice minus any available rebates.

Anybody have a link to a discussion regarding a vibration under hard acceleration above 80MPH. seems to stop when i let off the gas. i searched using vibration hard acceleration and got nthing thanks

I've never had a vibration problem whatsoever ......until I brought my truck in to the dealer a couple weeks ago. My leaf springs were making a poping noise while going over uneven surfaces. They did fix that problem, but while I was there they offered a tire balance and some sort of bulletin/update for software for the front transfer case. Something about in warm temps the 4x4 could come out of 4x4 or something like that. Can't exactly remember, but it was a software update. So having the leaf springs fixed, a tire rotation, a tire balance, and this software update.......NOW I have a slight vibration I can feel in the steering wheel at high speeds. I went back and they said they checked the tire balance and it was good.which leaves the software update....? Hard to believe that would cause anything. I think I just need to go to a tire shop to have my tires balanced again. Wish they never touched it.

Well a little update on mine. After they put the new driveshaft on it I've had no issues at all! Pretty exciting so far. I've drove it now a little over 500 miles and it's smooth as glass at any speed. The majority of it has been interstate miles, going back and forth from downtown due to my wife's surgery (sure in the hell didn't need this vibration issue on top of everything else going on)! Speeds have been all the way up to 85 and NOTHING. For the first time in 4 months and 6 trips to the dealership, I actually enjoy driving my truck.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm nervous as I hear several of you talking it was a few thousand miles before your issues started and I'll stay on top of it. I really do hope GM figures out this issue and I hope even more all of you get your issues fixed! Sucks all of us lose thousands of dollars combined against a billion dollar company who could honestly give two sh%^'s less. Luckily I had an awesome dealership that was always willing to try and figure out the issue.

    • Hello hello looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the 2026 2500 HD that I just bought.   Truck has 3500 miles on it four-wheel-drive crew cab and I’m about to put a 6 1/2 inch BDS lift on it 18 x 10 -25 offset with 37’s   Already have the wheels and tires just waiting on the lift install in about three weeks   Question what surprises am I not gonna be happy with?  I’m not new to lifted trucks so I know that acceleration towing gas mileage all that is affected..   Question is those of you that have this truck this powertrain with a 10 speed Allison and have done the mods that I’m doing,,, how bad is it? Is that Allison constantly gonna be hunting for the right gear to go into? And what about towing, acceleration, fuel consumption as mentioned?    Lastly how come I can’t find any ring pinion gear set up for these axles and when could I expect to see them?   I apologize if there’s any typos I’m doing speech to text on my iPhone.    
    • I've got a 2013 2500 6.0L Flexfuel. Drove the truck earlier today with no issues. Went to run an errand tonight and noticed key fob wouldn't work. Figured battery was dead, so replaced fob batter. Still wasn't working. Grabbed my other set of keys with the other fob and that one wasn't working either. So I manually unlock truck and insert key. Interior lights come on, dashboard lights up, turn key and truck starts. Turn truck off, like a moron, and try starting again. This time no crank, no click, no nothing. Lights still come on and dash lights up, but now I'm getting a service 4wheel drive, service tire monitor, etc. Check voltage on battery and Im showing 12.2v. Throw my battery charger on it and give it 15 mins and try starting again. But still no crank no start. Decide maybe its a bad battery, run to autozone grab a new one and put it in. Same issue. Disconnect battery and let it sit for 15 mins. Try again and still nothing. I had managed to roll the windows down earlier as its a humid night, but now I can't get them to roll up. Power locks are also not working now. Then randomly I try the key again, and it fires right up. Immediately I roll up the windows as we have nothing but rain forecast this week. I shut it back off wait 30 seconds and start up again. Worked a 2nd time. So turn it off, start putting things back together. Try one more time, and back to no crank no start. And now the car alarm starts going off. Had to disconnect battery and leave it that way for the night as I don't think my neighbors would appreciate my alarm going off again tonight. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

    • Hi there.  Long time lurker, first post.    i have read the previous posts regarding the water ingress problem with this emblem.  I bought my 1500 SLT the  summer of 2025 new and after reading the MANY problems with these emblems failing I decided to install one anyways.  As per a YouTube video, I sealed ( or tried to) this sign with silicone sealant around the outer perimeter joint and the holes that were already somewhat sealed on the rear plate of the emblem.  And installed the connector assembly using dielectric grease on the connectors. The installation looked great and worked well for about 4 months……then FAILURE.  Grrrrrr…… I live in the great white north and wash my truck weekly in an automatic car wash  to keep the salt off.  Let me tell you that removing the old, failed emblem is a whole different animal than removing the OEM individual letters without removing the grill assembly. Mainly because the illuminated logo is built differently than the original letters which  you can remove the red surface lettering with a knife or some kind of blade which gives access to the tabs which hold the logo onto the grill. So I had to essentially destroyed the old emblem to remove it. Doing so killed my chance of doing somekind of autopsy on the failed , old logo.  But there was plenty of water inside when I ripped it apart.  Prior to installing the new assembly I tried it with the old harness and it works fine.   Does anyone have any insight as to where the water is getting into this emblem? I intend to seal the new logo with slow curing epoxy this time around using a syringe.  I think this newer emblem may be an updated unit which I hope GM got the vendor to fix. It has an October 2025 date on it.    If this one  fails,  I am just going to revert back to the non-illuminated letters….AFTER PULLING THE GRILL.    Any thoughts on sealing with epoxy would be appreciated. Thx!   Doug
