Hey guys just wanted to see if anybody else had this problem i have a 14 sierra 5.3 it's tuned by blackbear I really like the work Justin did so I recommend him. The truck only has 10k and it came up with a couple of codes this morning P2635 and P018B I want to take it into the dealer to see if they can check it out what are the chance they see the tune I flashed it back to stock and the codes went away but I'm sure they will come back up when the truck gets cold again what would y'all recommend?

Return it to stock and see what happens. Sounds like a fuel pump issue or a fuel pressure regulator issue. It couldn't have been caused by the tune so you should be alright. To claim otherwise is complete BS.

I just had my fuel pump go out on my 14. Around 32k miles on it. I use the Diablosport tune. I just returned to stock prior. No issues at dealer, replaced it under warranty.

Shoot a datalog and an email to the guys, they can check into it.

I had the recall done today and I am pretty sure I lost my tune. The throttle feels much less sensitive was the first clue.

Can I re-flash using my Autocal, or does that negate the point of having the recall done in the first place? Is there an update tune that incorporates the recall?

Shoot the new tune files to the guys, and they can see if any major changes were made.

Any handheld tuners for the 2017 GMC trucks that remove speed limiter?

Not a handheld, but Black Bear Tuning should be able to help you.

I can't give a review just yet, but they will be in Austin come Nov. 12, and I plan of having my truck done...hopefully enough people sign up.

IF I get it done, I'll be sure to give a review on my 2016 Z71 RCSB w/5.3.

Well tomorrow is the 12th, and I'm looking forward to the tune massage!

Excited to feel how much difference this tune will be in comparison to driving in trailer mode.

At minimum I hope the helicopter (AFM) will die in my truck, it is so annoying!

Updates to follow.

Well I just got my tune massage done by Justin @ BlackBear, and what a difference it made!

First off he took his time to explain everything about the AutoCal, which most I already forgot, but he does give you a link to instructions and in my experience he or Jarrad always responded to my emails in a very reasonable time

What is cool about doing it this way is, he will sit in the passenger seat with his laptop as you drive and will make adjustments as needed. If he makes it too aggressive for you he can change it instantly, if not aggressive enough he can change that too.

It was amazing to feel the differences as he made adjustments...first he dumped the AFM, so no more Black Helicopter sounds, then he worked on the transmission upshift/downshifts, and next was the throttle response.

The shifts are now crisp and throttle response is immediate, and if for whatever reason I need to change something I just need to let him know and he'll send a link for me to download on the AutoCal. My 0 - 60 time according to my info on the dash (DIC) I gained 1.5 seconds....BANG for the BUCK!

He also made adjustments for my CAI, and programed my truck for 89/93 OCT.

This is well worth the $$$ and if I was going to do it all over again I would do this tune first, and then the true dual exhaust and CAI.

This was much cheaper than the exhaust and CAI, and I got more performance upgrade from the tune.

Considering the bang for the buck on true performance, this should be a must do on anyone's list of Mods...you won't regret it, and at worse you'll look weird driving with a big smile on your face.

Caveat: This could cause lower mpg & excessive rear tire wear due to the direct relation of the right foot and sense of feeling and hearing...then again if you can control the right foot and not let your feelings and hearing affect you, you should get a little higher mpg & normal tire wear.

Thank you for the review! Enjoy your new tune!

Just giving credit where credit is due!

Oh I'm enjoying it very much...everyday it seems to get better!

The throttle response is much more responsive today then it was on the first day...BlackBear Tuning should move to TX, it would be a good strategic business plan to reach more customers with a shorter travel distance = less cost...hehehe!

We are a small business, so word of mouth is our best marketing!

The guys are in Texas quite a bit, but I don't think moving there is in the cards. :ninja:

The guys have been to Denver a few times, but it is not on the current calendar. They can get you taken care of remotely if you were interested in that route.

I would like that. Should I just contact you at black bear performance or is there another number for contact and details.
