Has anyone who has been running a diablew tune for a while now experienced that it loses some of the responsiveness after the truck relearns? It's still better than stock, but not as responsive and fun as it used to be.

I wondered that as well if the TCM would relearn and if it would change over time from the initial Diablo setup. A few days ago I just restored mine to stock then reinstalled it and only modified AFM from off to back on and throttle from 0 to +2, then same firm shift with no changes. I swear shifts seems better. These model trucks are just an oddball of well odd happenings lol.

I was just reading the thread on turning off grade braking that apparently helps shifting. Odd, just odd.

Are you running just the regular diablo tune or diablew? I wonder if the grade braking would help lol

Just the canned Diablo 91/flex tune. Which I've been pretty happy with. I have not experience much odd shifting with it. Only a rare clunk during WOT shifts. Are you using a Lew tune? How is it over the canned one?

I liked it a lot better than the 87 canned tune! It still is probably, just doesn't seem as responsive as when I first installed the tune. I'm going to try reinstalling it tonight.

i think ive narrowed it down to black bear. I wish they would come to tampa for in person.

What made you decide on black bear? Just curious.

Future updates no charge really. Everyone seems to love blackbear and they can get future updates on the fly.

Yep this. I am leaving for an 1800 mile road trip tomorrow so I emailed them a few weeks back for an efficiency tune. I now have a tune for road trips and one for performance daily driving. Since my truck was tuned by Blackbear, I've been loving my truck more than ever.

Probably about a couple months now. I just installed a CAI and I'm gonna do my exhaust this week so I'm going to log data and send it to him again.

No problem, it is definitely a lot better than stock. Kinda wish I would have went to a local shop and actually had them do it in person, but I was really busy at the time. I've heard good things about Black Bear too.

The guys were just in Orlando. But if there is enough interest, they will go anywhere.

Hi Jenna. Question for ya. Are these new trucks capable of "relearning" after a tune is done so as to modify some of the performance enhancements that the tune was initially intended to change? (Am I making any sense lol )
