POST PICTURES OF YOUR BODY LIFTS (2014+)

Recommended Posts

It's actually pretty straight forward and easy to do. I've installed quite a few body lifts and suspension lifts over the years, Suspension is a little harder, not the actual work but taking a sawzall or torch and cutting things off a brand new truck is the tough part, lol.

looks damn good with just the level and 1.5 zone Bl...looks even better with your current set up.

I have 265-70-17 on truck now and going to rock it like this until spring and then get some 285s for summer time.

I talked to zone help line this morning apparently you do NOT need any type of steering extensions and only minor fabrication by the front horns where tow hooks get flipped...seems pretty straight forward. I hope LOL

Thanks, it is pretty simple Zone's instructions are pretty good as well. The frame horn and inner bumper cuts are simple and easy to get to you also have to drill holes to flip the tow hooks. The only cut that is a PITA because of its location; is where the E-break comes down the firewall and passes through the frame you have to do some notching. Die grinder with a small cut off wheel or dremel comes in handy right there. The last part that is a pain is swapping the rear bumper brackets, you have to disassemble the bumper and remove its plastic trim pieces to gain access to the bolts that attach the brackets to the bumper itself. Lots of screws and a ton of plastic clips. One last note if you don't have a set of torque bits for use with a ratchet I would pick up a set before getting started. Good luck.

If you're sticking with a 17 inch wheel I'd go with a 305 65 17, I plan on going to a 305 65 18 BFG KO 2 or 33 12.50 ridge grappler for my next set of tires.

Yeah I have time to research what I wanna go with. Running my stock 265s for the fall and winter. Spring I'll get a set of Nittos for summer months.

Question have you noticed any issues with coolant temperature or radiator issue? I know the radiator does not have to be relocated but wasn't sure if 1.5 inches blocking radiator would cause issues?

No cooling issues. Once upon a time when these trucks still ran a belt drive clutch fan attached to the motor it would require you to split the shroud and trim it in order to clear the fan to lift the front clip and that would create some cooling issues. On these new trucks its not the case the fans are electric and the fans just move up with the front clip no mods required.

Yeah it's going to look like your truck skipped leg day. The 285 65 18s on mine even look a little small but the -12 offset on the wheels pushing them outside of the fender wells helps. Shoot my a private message on here if you run into any snags or have a question during install. i have my account set-up to only notify me of private messages on the forum.

  • 4 weeks later...

Finally finished , here is a pic . 2.5 Rc Level w/ 1.5 Zone BL . Now I need to figure out how to fix the rubbing while reversing at full turn .731d487ab88f9301aebd3feff2ed09a1.jpg

LOOKS GOOD. Ive had my 1.5 zone lift for almost a month. Putting it on next week after the holiday... I have a 2 inch level only but would you say the 1.5 BL was a noticeable difference in appearance in terms of making truck look taller?

It's noticeable ,not huge but when u climb back on ur truck u will realize it's a bit higher . It definitely gives it a better look IMO .I lagged it to put mine on too in was avoiding the labor . But word of advice do not have the E brake engaged I did and didn't notice , it literally hours later to figure out why I cudnt lift the cab high enough on the driver side . Lol

I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 four-wheel-drive. The dealer ordered the 2 inch lift kit they offer and I’m waiting for it to come in and have it installed. But I noticed that the kit doesn’t come with upper control arms. Is that going to be a problem?

      (***UPDATE*** )

so I had the factory lift gm offers installed. When I picked it up, it looked great but as soon as I went to drive it off the lot. I could tell something was wrong it felt completely different. I figured it was just a break in period. But even after a day or two, I was getting crazy bad vibration at low speeds. Took it back. They ended up putting one of the U-bolts on wrong (I have pictures if wanted) they fix that and told me the vibration was gone. I get my keys go to drive away vibrations right back. I turn right back around. this time they have a mechanic ride with me. He clearly hears  an feels a vibration, says somethings wrong so we turned around and he takes it back in. Three hours later they bring my truck back they had to remove the back blocks said there was no taper to them and it was messing up drive line. I got it back and the vibration is still there. (Now annoyed that only the front is lifted and still vibrating). I have them take the whole lift kit off. Put it back to stock. (Now remind you my truck has been down and I’m missing work for 5 days at this point) And after that Whole ordeal, I was done with the truck since I couldn’t have it how I wanted it and decided to trade it in and they made me a good deal on a 2023 5.3 LT.z71

I know many have gotten this lift installed said it worked out for some reason it did not for me. I’m much happier with the new truck.

I have a 2022 trail boss lt that has about 6100 mile on it now. Bought it brand new in may 2022 and it seems like the drivers seat leans to the left towards the door. Almost feels like Im gonna fall out of it and no matter how I adjust it it seems the same. Visually it looks like it sits level and is fine. Is it possible something is broken inside like the frame? I would assume the frame would have to be sturdy. Is there any place that sell a better bottom cushion?

      Hey all,

I have a 2022 Sierra SLT with passive entry locks on the front handles. Does anyone know if I can easily add passive entry locks to the rear handles? Acquiring the actual handles would not be the issue but I'm wondering if there is a harness (or whatever powers the front passive entry buttons) in the rear door to begin with. I know they come standard on Denali, so was thinking GM might just leave the wiring in the door for different trims but not include the passive handles all around. As I type this, though, I'm sure there's programming that needs to be done but figured it was worth a shot - because why not!

      Any help is appreciated, thanks!

or sale are my set of custom painted, OEM Sierra Denali LED Tail Lights. I had these painted to go on my truck and unfortunately they took so long I had to go a different direction before I got them back.. I have since moved up to a 3/4 diesel and am hoping these can find an owner who will appreciate the time, effort, and $$$ that went into creating them!

These OEM LED Tail Lights are selling for $300 - $500 a piece online, and the cost to have these custom painted Mineral Metallic to match the Denali paint + the lens smoked (lightly, not enough to dim them when lit!) was $700 - looking to get $1,000 including shipping. Can cut a better deal if wanting to pick up in person in the Houston, TX area.

Please reach out for additional pictures, questions, etc. I respond much quicker via text (405) 642-9097

      Thanks!
