Must have upgrades for towing RVs

Can it do it, yes. But honestly I wouldn't like towing often with that setup. And a 32ft bumper pull isn't really all that small. I tow a 27ft with a 6.2 on stock tires with a WDH, runs 6000 on the scales, 840 of that is tongue weight. Most times I have towed it no problems, but there have been times with high winds that it wasn't any fun. Through storms had by butt puckered for miles.

 

Honestly I would prefer a 3/4 ton in those bad times. All the good times my 1/2 ton has been just fine. Never been a power issue, but definitely would prefer the stiffer suspension.

 

But I regularly tow 250+ miles each way.

I have towed a 4500ish lb trailer with it and it was very stable amd it was over a 1,700mile trip. But the rv will be a less aerodynamic and a tad heavier so that is a cause for concern.

 

NOt to mention EVERYTHING you have added to the truck is MORE weight.  Lift kit, bigger tires, bigger rims, etc. etc.   JUST like the truck in the video I posted.  More unstable, tires not rated for the load, etc. etc.   ALmost Everyone here has told you no.  There is no fixing the shortage.
