Last week, during our monthly trip to buy groceries, I ran across a newer Silverado in a parking lot. It was a “Rocky Mountain Edition” LT in deep ocean blue. A very clean truck. I was struck by how phenomenal the badges looked. It is a blown up version of the mountains in the High Country emblem. I really want one of these emblems.

i have had no luck finding a source for this emblem. All I want are the mountains. The name badge is cool, but not for me. Does anyone here have a line on this badge? Has anyone else seen one of these special edition trucks?

I was was thinking that the mountain badge would look nice on the lower right corner of my High Country truck’s tailgate.  Maybe even stripping off all of the other emblems on the tailgate. Before anyone mentions that the truck might start to look funny with yet another piece of chrome, I have color matched the door handles, mirror caps, grille surround and headlight frames. I am also in the process of swapping out the chrome trim strip (door ding guards) on the lower quarter of the doors to a color matched one as well as going to black window trim.

Help me out with a source for the badge and your opinion on using it as trim.

I agree, the badge is very nice looking. Personally, I've never liked the idea of putting badges on vehicles they didn't belong.

Try ebay and find one with the badges on it. Then get the vin from the ad and go to your dealer. With the vin, they should be able to find the part number for you.

I have had no luck searching for it. I’ve seen quite a few of the Rocky Ridge type websites, to no avail.

I dont disagree about adding different emblems to vehicles, but in this case, I feel like the Rocky Mountain Edition is kind of a play towards the High Country. The mountains almost resemble a higher definition version of my existing High Country emblems.

i can’t find anything linking it to a GM production edition either.

i doubt you are going to be able to find them easily. i quick google search brought me here http://mdgglobal.com/inventory/chevrolet/silverado-rockymtn.html Im almost positive this is a special edition that was done by a conversion company similar to rocky ridge.

This is just an emblem package designed for dealerships to make trucks look special and or charge a premium.  This company and similar like it have been around for years.  Just email them.  I'm sure they'll be happy to sell you the badges.

Morgan Design Global does a lot of custom decal packages for different OEMs.  Their catalog is here:

In the past I contacted them and bought emblems from them.  Back then (around 2011) they would sell you individual emblems, any one no matter where it showed up in their catalog (for example it didn't need to be for a Silverado since it's just an emblem).  I don't know if they will still do that or not.
