How about more info on this support bar added to new seat frame. Part number, TSB number. CMILLERJR, you might have found the holy grail of seat movement fix.

Anyone getting a squeak/fart sound from left side of driver's seat when sitting? Same sound as when you move around in an old leather recliner.

Took it to dealer and they acknowledged the sound but said they don't have a fix for it yet. As I tried to determine a cause & fix, I discovered it's the leather rubbing against the plastic trim. On the passenger seat, when you press down the leather bows out like normal. On the driver's, some of the leather actually slides down behind the plastic trim and make a loud, annoying noise as it rubs. I shoved a wash cloth way down between the leather & plastic trim and the noise was gone. Unfortunately, this is by no means a permanent fix and having a rag stick out your seat looks like crap.

Anyone also have this issue?

Have the exact same issue with my seat! I shoved an Amor All wipe in there, but it keeps coming back. It is SO annoying!

He had to order all the parts, so I don't have numbers right now. Once they do the install, and I get the service invoice I will post them.

The recall was just for loose tranny lines, it is very limited (10-15) total out of all manufactured. The recall notice hasn't went out yet. Like PM26 said there is a entire thread on it. Mine was good to go.

Mine did it too, but not all the time. My dealer installed clips under the seat cushion, that reduced the frequency of the squeak. It depends on how you have your seat adjusted. I found if I don't put it up as high it doesn't do it. Again not a acceptable fix on a 46K truck, but for me I fond a spot that comfortable and doesn't make any noise.

Take it to the dealer! They fixed mine shortly after my post. The leather behind the plastic was loose... they're pulled it tight, reattached, and the noise is gone. Still quiet after 3 months.

It looks like it was a bad workmanship issue in your case. It seems that some of these seat issues are design related, but not all of them.

Is your seat still stable after having the track replaced? I have to take mine it for the tranny line recall and would like to get the seat fixed at the same time. Not sure how most dealers are handling the recall but mine actually called to notify me and set up an appointment. I already knew that my truck was included in the recall from the monthly Onstar report.

Took my truck in yesterday at 9:00am (had an appointment) for transmission line recall and seat movement. I was assured it would be ready by 3:00 but after several calls and messages to the service guy I finally get him on the phone and he tells me to come get a rental they are not done. Even the shuttle service is running behind so I have to bum a ride. When I get to the dealership they had not even started on my truck they blamed all the recalls from all the GM models backing them up. I guess they don’t understand how to actually use reservations.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode

Jerry: I don't understand. Do you have my reservation?

Rental Car Agent: We have your reservation, we just ran out of cars.

Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation.

Rental Car Agent: I think I know why we have reservations.

Jerry: I don't think you do. You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them.

Anyway I asked for my truck back and they seemed shocked. They pleaded for 15 mins more to check it out. They were back with my truck in 10 minutes and claimed my transmission lines were good but they would order some new clips for them and my seat need new retaining clips that they also ordered

Needless to say I am skeptical but I will let y'all know if it fixes the seat.

My seat was stable up until I traded the truck in for another '14.

Cmillerjr is any update to this possible seat fix regarding that support bar ?

Nope not yet, the bar is still on back order. They said they hope to get it in next week. I can say my seat has gotten worse, so I hope it gets here soon and does the trick.

Took mine in today. They said there was sort of tsb out now. We will see....

Cmillerjr could you possibly find out what the TSB number is on this new support bar fix?

bogeypro can you post your TSB number as well when you get your truck back from dealer?

My nephew has a 2014 chevy and his seat is driving him crazy. He has already had the frame replaced but movement is back. His seat is the heated/cooled/vibrating accident avoidance style.

Mine was replaced as well same type... Started moving again this week

    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
