It seems this is a 14 thread but I have a 15 and FM reception sucks. So not just limited to 14s

That is know, but the difference is the system in the 2014's is different than the 2015/16 system. While my thoughts are they are all related, hardware issues that might be found as the cause will require different parts and will not be the same repair option possibly between the years,

And that this discussion incorporates the issue of HD Radio dropping in and out dramatically which amplifies the 2014 issue. 2015/16 models do not have the FM HD issue, because they do not have HD. Perhaps 2015/16 radio reception issues needs to be a separate thread? Not trying to minimize the issue, but it is different (software, hardware and features) and solutions will most likely be different.

Thanks Todd! We appreciate your efforts.

Lost HD signal today about 25 miles out of town.Had to keep tuning the radio since my presets are for my home area. MPG was the best to date.27.3! Avg on trip was 23.To get that best MPG I had the cruse set at 59,outside temp was 72 with high humidity and only 3 stops. Still would like a better radio! The MPGs were on 50 mile resets

How about it GM? Going to fix our radios? When someone asks about my truck I tell them about the radio and the lights!

Great, so I have the vibration issues and now you can add me to this list!!! Can't even listen to FM because the HD drops in and out every two seconds and HD and standard have a 3 second delay. Worse than a skipping CD. The last three days almost every station I listen too has had way too much static to listen too. I'm about an hour from Tampa and 20 mins from Sarasota. My reception was never this bad in my '14 Ram. Seriously regretting the switch to GM.

My XM cuts out on some spots that normally I think shouldn't cut reception. My mobile receiver was much more reliable. FM reception seems to be normal though.

I'm not impressed with the XM/Sirius reception in my 2015 Sierra. It cuts in and out pretty often on my trip to work. The 2014 F250 I had before never had any reception issues on that same trip the prior 1.5 years. Hopefully this will be the biggest issue I have with my new truck.

My cuts out often too. Most of the time only for a split second.

I bought a 2015 Silverado a couple weeks ago, it was made 10/14 model K15543.

Like you guys, I have the cylinder deactivation vibration, which I hate, I knew it had a little bit, but I have never driven one or been in one that had it as bad as the one I bought (mine came directly from the showroom floor)

The radio reception is terrible, I get 16 AM stations, only 4 are really clear, and most are in spanish, the XM is great.... except when I go under a bridge or there is a large branch overhanging the road.

I had it at the dealer for the last 2 days while they checked out the vibration, the radio reception, and installed a spray on bed liner.

The results:

-bed liner looks great

-They removed the radio and checked the connections there, removed the antenna connection and inspected it, checked the software and ended up saying it was all good. well I now have worse reception, and more static than I did before

-they said there was nothing they could do to reduce the vibration

I love the look of the truck, but if they can't at a minimum get the radio working better than it is now in the next couple weeks, I'm getting rid of the truck and going back to the blue oval. If anyone has any suggestions, I know you all have the same problems, but I'd really appreciate it.

For those who have built in navigation, do you feel its any better than those of us who don't?

Do some googling about "2014 Silverado vibration" and settle in for a long read. It seems they had trouble with defective ring and pinions in some of the rear differentials. I know yours is a '15 but it's possible they overlap.

Or you could wade thru the 334 pages!! here http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/153186-shake-or-vibration-issues/
