1. Rear seating hvac controls and vents....common my 2005 police package tahoe had it.

2. A painted frame. I really dont care for the candle wax dip that lasted all of 1 winter

3. Panoramic roof and slide down rear window.

4. Stabilitrak/traction off button that stays off at any speed.

5. Selectable rear locker.....although I have no complaints from the G80

6. No v4 mode under 45 mph......I swear if it does this in a parking lot again I might just lose it!

Was at my buddies ranch the other day with a few other Freinds. We took a ride in one of their fleet fords to the back lots and we took one of Jo's beaters. This one was beat to hell 2000 f250. Crew cab. And the darn thing had vents in the back. lol. Seriously this one really bothers me. GM absolute worse for no vents in back

Your seats are just vented, the cooling was dropped for the 16 MY.

Living in Texas where it has been right at 100 and heat index 105-110 for the last few weeks, no issues cooling the truck cab. No complaints from the rear seat (I even ask) and they feel the air just fine.

This rear seat air vent is really making a mountain out of a mole hill. It is completely different when you have a 3 zone system with a seperate blower and condenser compared to a 2 zone system with rear console vents that take away inefficiently from the front system. In a 2 zone system (like the trucks or any car I have ever been in) there is not much air coming out of the rear center vents. It never is strong enough to make a difference, all it has accomplished is cooling my knee. It is much more beneficial to have large swaths of air coming from the large front vents and blow in back, it is really no problem, these tiny little rear vents is all just perception.

Rear vents only blow enough air when they have a second blower motor and condenser such as in larger suv's and vans. With out that air only trickles out of the rear center vent which it loses efficiency which in turn is robbing it away from what could be coming out of the front vents. It has to travel further and the blowers don't have the capacity to accommodate that efficiently and keep it cold. For example, look at the temp difference just from the center dash vent to the side dash vents, now multiply that distance by 4... You won't get the same cooling effect as those suv's in the rear because of the lack a second motor and unit.

It isn't hot back there, it isn't unbearable by any means. These new vehicles are so well sealed and insulated they are efficient. You don't hear complaints from those with out the box checker versions of the other manufacturer's that do not have console vents like the luxury versions. I am yet to see a complaint thread or comment on the Ford of Dodge forums complaining about the lack of cooling to the Platinums or Laramie Lonestars with their base trucks.

My wife is very cold natured. When riding in the front seat she is always shuts off the passenger vents. In my new truck in the backseat she was complaining of being hot. So that is why I say the back needs better vents.

Wish my 2015 LT had a power tail gate lock and trailer brake controller. Other than that.....I'm good.

1.) One click up/down switches on all the windows (wonder if the drivers button can be retro fitted to the other windows?) Not sure I see the point

2.) Better ground clearance (GM's 4WD models look like everyone else 2WD models) Have you looked at the dodge and ford trucks? They all look the same ground clearance wise, now the 3/4 & 1 tons are completely different.

3.) Bigger sunglasses holder (derp!) Yes, this, I cut mine to make it bigger

4.) Better cooled seats Dislike leather so not important to me but yes.

5.) Factory bed liner (this one really chaps my ass. Makes ZERO sense to not even put in a cheapie plastic one) It is an option, not everyone wants to need one. You want it, pay for it. They have it factory...

6.) HID/LED lighting in 2015 (I like my LTZ projectors but HID would have been nice now that is offered in '16) They have it now, you missed the boat on that but you can always add it.

7.) LED DRL (why GM decided not to offer it in Chevy, and only in certain models for GMC. Now standard for '16 models) Unimportant, adds nothing but cost. I really dislike how they look on trucks

8.) More aesthetic looking exhaust (I do have to credit Ram for their dual exhaust on their 1500 trucks) God please no, that is silly. Adds complexity, weight, looks silly and most importantly can get torn up easier (especially off road). Dumbest thing Dodge did outside of the air suspension only (if they used the air springs as a helper would have been nice but only the air bag as the entire suspension, too many problem possibilities with out a fail safe or backup. Remember how a Ford looked with the air suspension failed?).

I am sure I am forgetting a few things but overall I am very happy with my truck.

Well seeing that this thread was titled "

"What do you wish your truck had?"

Implying what I wish my truck had, the one I drive, not the one you drive.

1.) One click up/down switches on all the windows (wonder if the drivers button can be retro fitted to the other windows?) Not sure I see the point

Is this actually needed? No. Neither are power windows or door locks. I love being able to push the window button down once and let it roll down by itself.

2.) Better ground clearance (GM's 4WD models look like everyone else 2WD models) Have you looked at the dodge and ford trucks? They all look the same ground clearance wise, now the 3/4 & 1 tons are completely different.

Yes I have but when you can clear a 35" tire on just a leveling kit on a Ram 1500, that is where I was getting at. Park side by side next to a Ram or Ford 1/2 ton and you can see they sit higher. GM's have always been known to sit lower than their competitors.

3.) Bigger sunglasses holder (derp!) Yes, this, I cut mine to make it bigger

4.) Better cooled seats Dislike leather so not important to me but yes.

It was an option on my truck that I purchased and had I known how 'well' they worked, I would have rather saved the cost knowing they don't perform well. If you don't have leather, then yes, this doesn't affect you. I honestly can very rarely tell the difference when they are on/off. To me, it was not worth the added cost.

5.) Factory bed liner (this one really chaps my ass. Makes ZERO sense to not even put in a cheapie plastic one) It is an option, not everyone wants to need one. You want it, pay for it. They have it factory...

I am not 100% sure if other makes offer it as a factory option. My '08 had a cheapie plastic one which was better than nothing. Yes I am getting one added but that isn't the point. The MSRP on my truck was $52K+ so it would have been nice to have it already in that cost instead of me having to pay $600 out of pocket to get it done.

6.) HID/LED lighting in 2015 (I like my LTZ projectors but HID would have been nice now that is offered in '16) They have it now, you missed the boat on that but you can always add it.

I had the option on purchasing a '16 instead but I got a better deal on the '15 and it had the better powertrain warranty. I can and may add it later but just more cost to me.

7.) LED DRL (why GM decided not to offer it in Chevy, and only in certain models for GMC. Now standard for '16 models) Unimportant, adds nothing but cost. I really dislike how they look on trucks

Everything adds cost, power windows, power locks, MyLink, etc. You could even go as far as to saying it is there for safety (why 90% tractor trailers drive with their lights on). I personally and many others like the way it looks. It looks clean, sharp and stands out from the rest.

This is a matter of opinion. I think on these trucks they are lacking on the rear bumper department. To me, it looks cheap to have a piece of uncoated metal sticking out the back. I for one like the Ram bumper/exhaust setup. It looks clean, blends with the rest of the truck and I would have no worries about it getting torn up. If you are worried about the exhaust getting torn up, you are probably doing something pretty 'extreme' and looking at more damage than just the exhaust IMO.

What I am getting at is this truck isn't 100% perfect for ME. I still very happy with it and given the choice, I would buy it again. Maybe for you, yours is setup exactly the way you want. No different then some people being ok with a plain Jane WT model vs a Denali.

A way to really turn off all the stabiltrack like others have said, especially in the snow or off-road.

A way to disable the high pitched, constant, warning beep from the front bumper sensors. I like the visual warning on the dash but the audio aspect is annoying especially when you are intentionally trying to get close to something, like parking.

Other gear ratio options. I would have gladly taken 4.10s.

I would like bed speakers to be an option - as in speakers in the bed that can be turned on when the rest of the car is not on and cabin speakers are off. Also an auto off feature when the battery is getting low would be nice.

Posted

how about a light switch for the bed in the bed?? .. Or auto tailgate. Or how about some Electric outlets with some actual power?

Posted

Yeah I agree a power outlet in the bed would be nice. Power locking tailgate would be nice...I know it can be added with a mod and the newer models have them but still. Better yet a tailgate that drops if you put your foot under the rear bumper. Last, ass massaging seats since these trucks are getting so expensive, that way I at least get a feel when I'm getting bent over on price ?.
