In my Z71 the door trim is Reverse Tartan and the dash trim is Synthesis.  For others with Z71 are you matching the console to the door trim or dash trim?  Apologies if this has been asked before, i read through most of the thread and didn't see this specific topic.

I can’t wait. Even though I’m a 4/2 order. I ran all the wiring and put the bracket in and the console is patiently waiting in my basement for install. Thank you for all your hard work you do for this community Phil. You’re a great guy.

I matched the door panel trim on my Sierra slt z71

i installed the console before i got the harness. One 110v and one 12v work. I bolted it in the rear and at the front bracket.   Pulled the truck side wiring harness and put it on the driveshaft/trans hump.

Once i got the harness, it was under an hour start to finish.

Make sure you get 2 usb mini b to mini b off of amazon.

Best mod yet.

I went with reverse tartan as this is the way it comes from Factory is you have a Z71. Its a personal preference for this one :)

I’d like to correct some info on fitment. I had the opportunity to help a local member who has a 2500, Signal Cab, Long Bed Truck. The fitment was ok. We were able to get the console bolted in... BUT, there is a gap up at the front.

My harness build still worked fine, but you can see a small gap up front. I am unsure if there is a center console that is specific to 2500s that might just slightly longer. We also check if there was any play in the 15mm bolts... not enough to close the gap.

Here are some pics

Anyone else have this issue?  Im waiting for my console to arrive to swap the jump seat out of my 2017 2500HD.  Anyone do this retrofit on a 2500HD and not have this issue?

Wish i had a better picture but I no longer have the truck. This is what the console should look like in a regular cab. This was a 2016 RCSB WT. The cab is the same asConsole3.thumb.JPG.2b96df197be5aaae75f17d5ecad90daf.JPG the 2500. Initially I had some fitment problems like this because of interference with a wiring harness near the top mounting holes of the front bracket so I pulled the multi-function switch out to see what the problem was. Once I cleared the harness out of the way the bracket pulled up tight. It's also a heck of a lot easier to get to the 2 upper bolts with the switch out of the way.

Thank you Phil. Got everything installed today and everything works flawlessly!

One thing I didn’t see mentioned when installing the drivers side side panel was to take the black surround part off the support post so the side panel fits correctly. I’m sure its common sense but good for people to know ahead of time.
