Ported tb, AFE cai, 1 7/8" headers with cats, stock cat back, flex fuel tuning.  Runs pretty good but changing it up soon.

Was the l86 intake ported in that dyno?

No.  Stock.  I have a ported 1 and a new ZR1 95mm ported tb going on when I get time to swap em.

The truck exhaust is different which doesn't help us any.  Header length and actual dual exhaust with an x making killer power in the Camaro.  Bolt on cars are in the 10.5 range at 125+.  I gave it a shot and didn't think it would be as big of difference as it is.   Tq is KING in the trucks!!!!

Are you going to do a before and after run? I'm really curious to see what this does, or if it makes a noticeable difference. Port it yourself?

No I won't be able to.  Dyno is about 4 hrs away and I don't have the time to get there.  Had Pray Performance do the L86 intake manifold.

This is JonA's truck and his testing with an unported MSD vs stock L86 on his 14 6.2 6spd in 3rd gear with 91 Oct.

I have a l83 it the l86 intake and tb a easy swap and will it need to be tuned right away I’m still under warranty till 100k and I’m only at 81k so fat mods are transmissions t-stat removed a k&n cold air intake and removed the muffler so far. I used to have a 5th gen ss camaro belt stalled very fast 500 rwhp so. I know how to make la motors fast but this is a truck I’d like to get 350 rwhp with out doing a cam swap. I was thinking Intake tb swap headers catback tune should do that maybe a e85 tune since I live in Tennessee and lots of places have e85 or should I just do a 93 tune .

If you do the L86 TB you will have to have it tuned before it will run right as the surface area of the TB will be larger.  Intake and TB aren't going to net you a lot of gain on the 5.3l unless you do the supporting mods so I would focus on the exhaust and headers first then see if you need the intake.  I did the L86 manifold with a Katech ported LT1 TB and noticed some decent throttle response but I don't know that I snagged a bunch of HP off the mod but it was done in anticipation of putting the blower on.
