Got a call from the dealership this am, said GM engineer was there yesterday and today, worked on my truck and sent the test results to China? Waiting on them to respond back with what they should do.

Feb 21 - 6:45 pm. Turn on truck with remote start. Get into truck, infotainment screen is black. Turn off Truck and Back on, screen still black. Tried same few times no change. Drive back home park for 15 min. Turn truck back on and it is working

 

Waiting for dealer To give a loaner so I can drop the truck to get looked at. 
 

has anyone had the problem finally fixed?

The dealer said they will replace the infotainment system and usb plug.

I've had mine replaced twice, it fixed it for a couple hours up to 4-5 days and then went back to same problems.

Got a call from dealer yesterday, they admitted the problem, China said there are many cases of this and they are working on a software update to fix it but have no timeline for it. So I guess its another waiting game, pretty sure after all the crap we all have been through a class action is plausible?

do you have any traceable information we can provide our local dealerships so they don't go through the same exercise?

They didn't give me a case number, I provided all they gave me. They might be able to relate it by going through chevy TAC? That would be my best guess.

Also since they messed with and had mine so long, its really a sh*t show now. The thing won't send text messages ever, the screens flop around and change to other things, half the screen will work with touch, the other side just doesn't recognize or ack that I have touched it. Phone will drop while talking, sends it to phone, then it goes to BlueTooth then back to infotainment only to repeat this cycle every 3-5 mins. I seriously hope this gets worked on, fixed and then available to all of us. Its frustrating we have to deal with a sub par product that we were sold at full price.

So update on mine, well I guess GM says infotainment and USB replacement[emoji848][emoji2357]

Sounds like that's what several of you have already gotten and still doesn't fix it.

So we will see, sounds like they are just part changing versus really getting to the bottom of this.

Got the tuck back today. The report said that they also found a problem with the ground cable (on top of changing the radio and usb plug). Will let you know how it goes. So far so good.

Last night the system crashed again. I was running waze app, clicked on a link from a text to go to a certain place and the apple Maps app was launched. I don’t know it the crash could have been caused by the 2 MAP apps trying to run at the same time. Now I delete alternative map apps from the phone and will run only the Apple Maps app to see if the problem continues.

Another update. Not happy:

March 11. 7:16 am. System crashed. Had only maps running. Phone didn’t crash only infotainment system. I filmed. 

 

March 14th. 5:50pm. CarPlay stopped working. Even with new Apple cable it doesn’t recognize phone and apple CarPlay doesn’t work.
