I'd say the latter is more accurate. Is there a follow up to this yet. I'd like to see some after the fact pics/videos just to so how much destruction there really was.

HAHAHA ! I remember reading about that a while back. A bunch of guys that did a run out in the dessert somewhere came back with bent frames and were trying to go after Ford for not covering it under warranty. Wish I still had the link

One of the guys had a thread on raptorforumz about it, something linked me to it once. Frame doesn't have enough support over rear bumpstop. Ford blamed it on people putting on aftermarket springs without the bumpstop contact attached to the bracket. After that they realized it was virtually all trucks that were on high speed runs, they then claimed that it was supposed to do that for safety reasons, so it wouldn't break the axle. There is a tooling hole right above the bump stop, sounds like a design accident to me...

Its amazing how many people (of all brand choices, even GM) think that just because they have a truck with big tires, they can do the same things as a multi-million dollar trophy truck.

 

oh well, as long as hes not trying it with my truck, what does it matter to me?
