2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Anyone have an issue with there driver side door being a 1/4" off? I have an annoying rattle directly next to my left ear. I examined the door while closed and noticed it protrudes approximately 1/4" out. So when you shut the door the weather stripping and plastic molding on the door do not make full contact and thus leading to the rattle. I added some 3/8" home window weather stripping to the factory stripping and it solved the rattle. Now another trip to the dealer to see if the can adjust the door. This is the second issue on the left side of my truck that was misaligned. The first was the front fender that was all out of whack, had a dent in it upon delivery. Sent from my Nexus 5

Impressive quality control.

I have the exact same rattle as you describe. I'm going to take a look.

I have had my Sierra Z71 for almost 5 weeks and have 2300 miles on it. Loving it so far. I had a burnt out blinker bulb the first week but so far that's about it. I had Line X premium put in right away and tinted the front door glass to match the rest of them. Hoping I don't have to start posting problems on here.

Post back when you have 123,000 miles on it.

Well... dealer is delivering my truck today after having it almost 1 month!... hopefully some issues were corrected.. I don't think the cold weather/ hard start was addressed, and I know the "clunk" wasn't addressed, because our all to great and glorious GM doesn't have its products back... Dealer admitted there was an obvious clunk but said 3 other trucks he test drove had the same "issue" but GM told him not to explore it..to wait until something breaks so that they can issue a TSB.. way to stand behind your crap GM....this has been the biggest financial mistake I've ever made... should have kept my 08 Denali.

Listen up Happychicky we have got to stop complaining and take our medicine on these trucks. The trade in value goes down every time someone types in bad stuff here. Lets sing the praises here no matter if the thing breaks in half and slides down the road sideways and catches on fire. When the 2015 Ford Atlas comes out we can sneak over and trade and our tradein value will be very good IF we follow the PLAN. Now "get with the program happychicky" I am counting on your cooperation. I want you on here singing GM praises and how great the vehicles and dealers are right away........................................ Mine is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT........................................................... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT..................................

Well I'm not sure that is gonna help. Only thing that really matters is what is GM gonna do about the issues with our new trucks. I say if the problems are addressed and fixed you will build confidence in the brand and have loyal customers. If not then you will have customers diss your product and move on. Trading in a new vehicle IMO so early is always a losing proposition. What would happen if you trade your GM in and take a huge loss and then have issues with the new Ford you gonna sell again and buy a Dodge sure doesn't make sense to me but hey it's your money. IMO wouldn't it be better to keep complaining to the dealers and GM to get these issues resolved. The more complaints the more pressure they have to do something about it.

Have you seen the lastest newscast

DETROIT -- General Motors is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles, including SUVs, vans and Cadillacs, for defective air bags and other problems.

Cannot win with the internet forums nowadays. The clouded truth will raise its head. Dodge, Hmm maybe, but I think they really are ugly. It is only money so I guess it really does not matter go ahead and bash away. What was it Ricky Bobby's Dad told him? Quote "IF YOUR NOT FIRST YOUR LAST"

First let me say I have been a loyal GM customer since I was a young kid so I'm not trying to bash or otherwise down talk GM. I have also had my share of 1st run vehicles so I know they come with problems but you would also think that with GM saying these things are tested for many miles on test tracks, it makes you wonder. With that being said here is my list of disappointments in my LTZ CC

*Wind noise through front door is horrible when traveling into headwind of 30 MPH or more. This is definitely extremely aggravating.

*No indicator light on center console button for bed light even though manual states there is one.

*Center console buttons should have been flush mounted like the rest of the buttons, they are way too easy to turn off or on without knowledge. Example, sometimes I put my tablet in the center console and it sticks up above the levers and covers them. If your not careful you can bump them with your finger or the item itself and you would never know

*Collision alert system, although a good idea, is just downright a very expensive gimmick. Doesn't work properly half the time.

*Front dash plastic, depending on temp, warps where you can physically see it popping up above the soft dash material in a couple of areas.

*Excessive cranking time to start, worse in colder weather

*Engine ticking noise (maybe this and the previous is due to direct injection system)

*No rear passenger heat or ac, or none that I can see. My 2011 GMC at least had plastic tunnels to move air back there.

*Very noticeable clunk every now and then that appears to coincide with V8 to V4 transition

Although navigation system is much better than the 2011, it is still convoluted in many ways.

There may be other things that I can't think of right off the top of my head.

Now the thinks I love about the truck

*Looks, in and out except buttons mentioned above

*Love the backup camera system with the guidance

*Front distance sensors.

*Lane departure system

*Larger back doors and rear room area

And other I'm don't have at the top of my head.

Wind noise does suck a little. My bed light switch lights up. Has yellow rectangular light. I believe the heat/AC vents are on the floor below the driver and passenger seats.

Anthony does your bed have the led lights? I also saw the truck with the lot button and they told me it only comes with the led lights.

My truck came from the factory without the led bed lights. For some odd reason they built trucks with switches that lit up and some that did not. I checked around the forums, your not the only one. Just like they built some trucks with working back lit knobs and some they did not.
