Try to post on their forum, they seem to reply a little faster. I already got a reply on not having adjustable parameters and have sent them another file they asked for. I have worked with Mike Litsch (sp?) and he's been great.

Same here. Mike just gave me a new tune that I will install shortly

Installed the new tune Mike sent me and works perfectly.

Mine works now. I installed the ob tune as I initially had the oa tune. I actually feel a power difference as well this time which has me wondering if the tune even worked before. Had her up to 103 on the freeway last night to test if the speed limiter was still there. Now patiently awaiting TCM support...

Jenna,

I am going to install a flex fuel sensor on my 2015 6.2. Can you enable your tunes to maximize for E85?

Just installed my Black Bear tune today... 100% worth the money. truck feels like and performs like it should have out the door.

Throttle response is excellent, shifts are crisp and firm, definitely a increase in power... though i was running 87 oct on stock tune, now im running 91 oct w/ 91 tune...

I was a little apprehensive about doing everything by email... i can understand why they do this though, i imagine they would not be getting any work done with all the phone calls. They responded back at end of next day with my email questions, only took 2 days to get the tune in once i submitted the files.

Thanks Again.

To ROBVAS and WURGS, is this your first tune or was is this an updated tune? I am getting ready to bite the bullet so to speak and I am really hoping for better transmission response… I ask because ROBVAS stated “new tune”…

This is the second tune DiabloSport provided me. The tuner didn't recognize my truck (brand new 2015) out of the box, so I sent them the unknown_pcm file and they sent me a tune that worked, but I couldn't adjust anything like AFM or tire size etc.

Then they sent me a second tune and everything acts like it should.

Copy Robvas. I am actually looking at a BlackBear tune for mine. Sorry, my bad.

Thank you for the review Jason! Happy to hear you are enjoying your tune.

You are absolutely correct, the guys do everything through email for a few reasons:

-they receive hundreds of emails a day, on top of building tunes, shipping items, and inperson tunes, phone calls would put them very behind

-phone calls does not leave any documentation: they are able to go back through emails to see what a customer requested, or other discussions pertinent to the process

-they can't see what is going on through the phone: if a customer has major issues with the AutoCal process, they will remote into the computer to assess the situation. This is much quicker than trying to decipher what someone is seeing, through their explanations on the phone. More times than not, the customer has missed a step, and the guys can quickly diagnose when they log into their computer.

-phone calls rarely take 5 mins: most customers will want to continue the conversation, once they have the guys ears, not realizing the backlog of customers in email. How is that fair to the guys who have been waiting for a response via email, that someone who calls, gets to go right to the front of the line?

yep.

Just something I am not used to... others might not be as well, just wanted to post up a good review of the process

The more you drive it the better it gets and the more you will like it. I also got an Air Rait MIT intake tube and filter and if definitely helped out low-mid range torque. So if you don't have an aftermarket intake I suggest you get one.

I installed an AirAid Tube but retained the original filter box on my 14 Crew. I did not want to get into K&N or an oiled filter because I seen what they can do to the throttle body on motors. So far not much of a difference and with my Borla muffler I don't hear much additional noise from under the hood. :tear:

I am a believer in letting any engine breath a bit better... works wonders on a V twin.

Same here. Noticeable difference in power and actually just got 1.3 mpg better on my last tank driving the same routes as before. I will be curious to see if it was a fluke or if it will continue.

    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
    • That part I understand, that the dealer can do it. But I'm not understanding why updates that were available to the truck since it left the factory, or the dealership originally, would not still be available to it without dealer intervention.   I'm thinking along the lines of recalls. They stay available until they are completed. Why not updates as well, especially since some of those can be safety related also?
    • That's good to know, but I don't think I'll even be running them under 45 in the rear  unless it's on the sand or something but will only be for a short distance anyways!    I didn't read all the instructions in the booklet yet, but do you know let's say I set the rear psi on the placard to 45, will the warning light come on soon as it drops under 45 or is there a percentage it has to drop from the set value before the warning light is triggered?
    • That's bad.  Like, its probably destroying the stub axle the CV slides into.   Do you have a proper lift installed with differential lowering brackets?  Did you install AT4/Trail Boss factory CV axles?
    • Hot? New Jersey? Today? I was working on my old 2000 Silverado 1500 today. Believe me, it was boiling hot today. As it has been.
