Good luck to you guys. I realized today that since I have the 2dr standard cab, the console would probably interfere with my powered Rockford subwoofer. Which sucks because I was looking forward to this upgrade. I had a few consoles near me that I was going to check out this week.

 

Or is the new console sitting in the same position that the old console sitting? Meaning that the new console does NOT sit any further back than the jumpseat console. If anyone knows, could you let me know if you have done this?

I couldn't find one the right color so I ordered all the parts to build one. 3 times that cost though with the outrageous shipping.

Mine came out of Texas. Out of a 2018 High Country. Shipping is gonna cost ya. Mine was $200 to Ky.

$200 total or $200 for shipping? Was it in good shape? I had another place contact me out of Texas and they have quoted $375 total with shippingping included in that price

Mine is shipping from Michigan to Minnesota for $233. Ridiculous. 

Shipping is really killing it on everything lately. 

Guys were ordering these same parts shipped cross country a year ago for 75 bucks.

Sad thing is I just ordered one of those underseat storage units for $87 on ebay with free shipping.  That's a big box too.

I was just informed the front bracket is on a national back order. 

No eta available. 

So how necessary is the bracket?

Can I just make my own?

I didn't use it. When they removed my console from the High Country the tabs for the bracket was broken off. I just have it bolted down to the floor with the 4 bolts. My bracket may be laying the bed of my truck still if I didn't give it a pitch.

The bracket just secures the console to the dash to help prevent any movement/rattle in that area.  It is not necessarily structurally important.

Everything got delivered today.

Six boxes. No wonder it was $233 shipping. 

Anyhow the console came with the charging lid (the right color too) and the rear panel already attached.

I ordered those separately because the diagram clearly showed those pieces missing.

So now I have to return those at my expense. Sad.

Would have saved at least $150+.

One thing I noticed though,  no sales tax.

My phone don't sit flat on the pad either.

Samsung S21 with otter rubber case.

My Iphone 13 in Otterbox Commuter case doesn't either. If I lay it all the way back in the tray it will charge

I drove a couple of times with the console in, and have a few changes.

 

1. I have a bit of left over "dynamat" material and will be adding some to the inside *below* the center console. will take photos.
