We're entering the last model year for the current Silverado and Sierra HD platform. While the light-duty pickups get a totally new platform for 2019, the HD version will have to wait another year, until 2020, for their all new versions.

That means 2019 is a transition year for the 2500HD and 3500HD. Cab choices will be limited and one last K2XX special edition will available on the Chevrolet side. A few months ago the 2020 HD was spotted undergoing testing if you are inclined to wait.

Check out our other "What's New For 2019" Articles

Well the next time I buy a truck I guess it won't be GM since they are dropping the regular cab models.  I have no use for the extra cab myself so

hope the other companies will make regular cabs.

I think they could sell a "Super cab"  Allows reclining seat, and room for tools you want locked up, or fishing gear, etc, but No seat, just storage. Only need one seat to slide far forward ( yeah I know 1995 comes to mind, but no seat and a bit smaller)

I'm in the Market for a 2018/2019 3500 HD...  Trading in my 2016 1500 LTZ because I am going alot bigger in my 5th Wheel.  I have noticed the 2019 MSRP seems a bit lowers than the 18's  which is good. But am really disappointed  that the changes made on the 1500 are not being used on the 3500.  From what I am seeing there are almost no changes on the 3500 BUT I am finding it very hard to get information on them. There are plenty of pictures/info on the 1500 but they are sketchy on the 3500.  Has anyone found information?

Thanks DS

That's because the HD is still the same truck as 2015-2018.  They will look identical to the 2018 HD.  2020 is when the HD gets the body from the 2019 1500.

Thats just not right!  Big Smile... When I'm paying 70k for my high country... Are there going to be any changes to the 2019 3500?  If not I might be better to buy a 2018 when the 19's come out.

All changes are at the top of the page, first post.  They added a color.
