2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Looks like the orentation of the USB ports is different as well. Mine is horizontal direct center under the latch with a 12v accessory plug beside it. Jay15892 has a light and his is a LTZ, who knows maybe it depends on the production date.

Does he perhaps not have a bench seat and you do? I have a bench seat on my LT and this is what the console looks like.

I have the center console. If you have the bench seat you might not have it? Mine looks identical to the above pic..

We don't really need a light on the bench seat consoles, they aren't as deep.

maybe another small difference between GMC and Chevy ????????????

My LTZ looks just like this picture. It's dark down in the bottom of the console.

interesting.. as time goes on we are figuring out more things that help justify the added cost for GMC ..

Mine is the bench seat too that must be the differance.

Called the delaership to pull up the build sheet. They stated there was the piece for the bulb but no bulb or wire harness for the light was listed on the build sheet. Said it might depend on the package. I told them that on a 45k truck this should be standard equipment and why would they put everything for a light but not the acutally light and they said and I quote" If you are handy maybe you can rig it up".

ok, that makes more sense...

So it looks like all bench seat consoles ( regardless of trim level or GMC/CHEVY) do NOT have the light.

The full center console (which only comes with higher trim level trucks -LTZ, SLT ) does have the light regardless if you have GMC or CHEVY.

I wish this was the logic used ...I have a SLT the full center console and a spot where the ligh goes but no light.

For real... we need others with the FULL center console to chime in and see if other people are missing this as well... or they just forgot yours ?

I have a Sierra SLT Z-71 and mine looks like that picture and has a LED in there. I'll take a picture once I leave work...

2014 Silverado LTZ Crew Cab. While cleaning my truck today, I noticed a small (about 1.5 Inches) tear in the carpet that meets the center console on the driver's side. Has anyone else seen this?
