2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

For the past two months I have been dealing with GM and my dealership to get a new truck. Months before that I have been dealing with a truck that constantly breaks and can't be fixed! Finally I put my foot down and demanded a new truck. Although it was approved, I have yet to receive my truck. The dealership and GM has been playing games with finding a truck, answering the phone and getting down to the deal. Come wens day I am suppose to receive a new truck. I will say one thing if wens day comes and I still have problems I will definitely be bringing in a lawyer. This truck had been the biggest headache I have ever had with a vehicle.

BTW it's spelled Wednesday not "wens day"

Ok... So a few days ago I posted that my brand new 2014 Silverado (LT 5.3 crew cab 4x4 w/3.08 axle ratio) had a little bit of a ticking. Since then, the ticking has evolved into what comes awfully close to being called a knocking. (and thats being generous)

Additionally, I have noticed that the transmission is shifting awfully hard when changing from first to second, and that when I am in traffic, let off the gas to decelerate/brake, and reapply the gas, at times the transmission basically jerks very hard before actually accelerating.

Furthermore, I am also experiencing the "shaking at red lights" many on here have described.

Noteworthy: my truck barely has over 1000 miles.

I am going to take it to the dealership at some point this week to see what they suggest. I will suggest to them the remap of the ECM/TCM as was indicated earlier on here to see if that resolves the shift issues.

I look forward to seeing how they explain to me why my nearly $40,000 truck sounds (and at red lights feels) like a 1994 clunker.

On a positive note, my radio has worked well up to now, but there is a noticeable difference between the "hd" stations which sound great and the regular stations which don't sound nearly as nice.

I'll let you all know what the dealership tells me.

My FM radio reception is horrible. Dealer said all 2014 Silverado's are the same.

My radio was exactly the same at one time, horrible! Then I discovered they never put the antenna on. The dealer gave me one off of another truck and now it works fine.

Thanks for the spell check

No issues with radio reception on my Sierra. It's actually pretty good as stations that normally don't seem to come in well in my Accord come in much stronger in my Sierra.

I had to turn hd radio off... It wouldn't stay in.... I'll do a gopro video comparing my radio and wifes in edge

New user here, interesting thread. Traded my virtually flawless 07 Tundra for 2014 Sierra 4x4 5.3 6.5 foot box 10 weeks ago. 9,000 miles later zero vehicle defects and just one dealer defect. When they did the free service at 7,500 miles, they didn't properly tighten the lug nuts on any of the wheels. I didn't discover this until the truck spit one of the lugs off. On that particular wheel, only two of the remaining five were snug, though they still were not torqued properly. Checked all four wheels and not a single lug was properly torqued. Going to meet with the GM this week to discuss corrective action on this issue. My overall experience with this dealership has been great, so I'd rather not raise a stink with GM Corporate if I can avoid it. However, I'm sure mine isn't the only vehicle they are putting out the door with improperly tightened lug nuts, so this needs to be corrected. Whatever they do, I think I'll be going to Discount Tire for all my future rotations because I know they use torque wrenches and not just air guns to tighten the wheels.
