I also wanted to address a few things that people mentioned in this thread.

• The displays are dimmable and are not overly-bright at night
• You can turn the center console display off while still playing music
• The tailgate still has a plastic cap on it's top railing (see photo below)

 

Here's the vent for the rear seats, found under the front seats. For the Crew Cab.

Activate the cooled seats and see where the hot air discharges.

 

I'm not sure but I think the seats are only forced air "vented" and not actively cooled. So there should be no real hot air. Even if they were cooled actively, it would be via the air conditioning units so there would be not hot air there either.

You are referring to very old gen 1 GM cooled seats. The newer cooled seats use the Peltier effect to remove BTUs and they must be transferred somewhere. 2014 trucks discharge this heat directly onto the rear passengers.

Our example didn't have cooled seats. Next time I have a chance, I'll check one out that does.

Tried it on mine today, you're right cool air does come out the back.

Truck isn't in my driveway right now, but I just came up with a thought; do the 14's have a external fuel filter, or is it in the tank like the last trucks?

While your looking, what about the fuel pump? Still one in the tank?

I'm thinking one in the tank and a higher pressure one on the engine. Just curious to know.

Don't know about one in the tank, but I'm pretty sure there's one on the engine driven by the back camshaft lobe.
