RECALL - Fire Risk

To be honest the lights don't bother me, either, but I figured I'd mention it while it was at dealer. I sure wouldn't make a special trip for it. If GM steps up and does the right thing, great. If they deny it, well, I'll go from there. I would think that GM would not turn people away for an error on their part, should the owner request the led rings repaired.

I agree. However, people are making a mountain out of a mole hill on this forum and I'd bet over 50% of the threads on this forum have somebody complaining about them...

Mine was done yesterday, I'd been putting it off. Took 25 minutes. I thought the mileage looks like it improved... drove 200km last night at a higher speed than I usually do and got the same mileage I usually do. (8.6L/100KM - that's 27 mpg done at 68mph you american neighbors)

Has everyone actually received a letter or email? I've got neither.

I never got one but some others have - and some have mentioned they found it in their spam folder. You might check there.

I received an email about the recall. I set up the email notice during the buying process at the dealer, I think it was MyChevrolet. I also have the app on my phone. I am scheduled to go next week to have the recall performed.

Got the email the other day. I figure I still might get an official letter in the mail. Going in tomorrow for the recall and the rear slider regulator TBS. That's the only two things dealer found needed on mine. It was built in Aug.

I received my notice via email. It was in my spam folder.

I also had recalls for my passenger seat latch and my rear sliding window.

They performed the fire and seat work in less than 20 minutes. They had to order a part for the rear window fix.

I also had a passenger seat rattle. It turned out to be the air bag sensor had come loose from its mounting bracket.

In total I was in and out of the dealership in about 30 minutes.

Anyone worried about not getting a letter can login to their onstar account to check if they don't want to call their dealer. I never did get a letter or email (but I'm also the dealer so I could check my own on gmvis) but it did show up in my onstar online, not on my phone

Got an email last week and a letter today. With the seat recall all I got was a letter and it was about a month after it was announced through the press.
