Yes, sticking with the topic here, I stopped off at my local dealer yesterday and they entered my serial number for recalls. I'm up for #13330, #14008 (Fire recall), #13370, #13257. Three downloads and the fuel pressure regulator issue.

Wish me luck!

I just had my fire recall done yesterday and so far I feel like it's fixed dead pedal too. Much more responsive when you hit the gas. Anyone else notice this?

By illumination issue, are you referring to a check engine type light is on, or something else?

Sorry I'm so late responding to this. I was referring to the dashboard illumination issues of the early builds of the model. It's addressed in the "some questions about my 2014" thread.

All auto manufacturers go through this with all products. Some call them campaigns, some call them updates, some call them customer satisfaction bulletins... all the same thing. Some make the news, some don't. The biggest thing to consider with any of these things, is who's decision was it? If the manufacturer decided to do it, it's a good thing. If the feds made the manufacturer do it, that's a bad thing... and speaks about how little the manufacturer cares about its consumers.

This recall was GM's call, not the government's. That alone speaks volumes. There are import manufacturers that keep everything hush hush quiet so they don't get the bad press, and yet have been government forced to do a recall on things they didn't want to do... and that also says volumes about them.

Who cares if GM wants to be proactive in preventing problems... good for them!

Now as to the anti-technology guy that only wants old non-computerized equipment... fine that's your choice, but you're a bit of a hypocrite declaring it on the web... send me a letter by mail and you'll have more impact lol

Computers belong on a DESK - not in a vehicle people rely on to get to WORK.

And, think about it - the only reason GM was proactive in this is they don't want to be SUED when somebody DIES in one of their vehicles. Ford already taught that lesson in the 70's with the Pinto, yet manufacturers STILL try to cut corners.

I've been a die-hard GM guy since I could walk, let alone DRIVE ... BUT, I am not going to blindly follow ANYONE like a lost lamb. You guys are free to waste your own money as you see fit - that's the beauty of a free (well, somewhat ...) society. Like I always say: it's your money ...

I've said enough on this. Back on topic. Carry on. I'll bring the popcorn and beer.

Your 07 has just as many computers in the truck as the 2014s do...save for maybe the infotainment system.

A Chev Sprint/Pontiac Firefly had more computer power in them than the apollo rockets did. anyone remember the sprint/firefly/metro/ suzuki swift or whatever else they were branded? That was amongst the crappiest, poorest automobiles GM ever dabbled in... worse than the chevette lol... and still had computers. Your 700r4 4 speed overdrive transmission... yep, there's a module for that too.

Had mine done this morning...took 40 minutes. Im going to keep an eye on the mpg's, since several said they noticed the AFM more engaged. It felt more responsive on the drive home, but it could of been a placebo effect.

This is a fire recall. Has nothing to do with the stupid rings around the radio knobs. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

Way back when this thread first started that's what he was commenting on. The one sentence about the lights was just an aside in his post about the recall. That's the problem when you jump into a thread without reading from the beginning.

Sorry I didn't remember a one line comment 230 posts ago. Either way I'm tired of hearing about the stupid lights in practically every thread on the forum...
