I have a 2019 AT4 fully loaded build date April 2019 5.3l. I have had the vehicle to the dealer 2x for the HUD with no success. It does not display audio or phone. I love my dealer and they have had no luck figuring it out. I cannot find any additional settings for those options, everything is turned on. I called GMC customer care and would have been better off asking the stock person in Walmart about the HUD. This is very disappointing on a $65k vehicle you cannot get what is advertised  as such.

Disappointment to me that there is no HUD option for RST or Trail Boss.

My HUD momentarily shows the radio when changing stations. It only lasts for a few seconds though. If any of you want to dig further, we can compare build sheets to see what could be different.

HUD is the one thing I hardly use on my 19 LTZ. Maybe its age but I get tired of seeing things on the HUD>

I actually thought I would love this option but always have it turned off.

Maybe driving at night I would use it but I don't drive after dark much.

I really didn't think I would like a HUD either until we got a new suv for my wife that has one. I hate not having it now when I drive my own vehicle.  Think you just gave to get used to it.

The 2018 Camaro I rented one time had a HUD and really the only thing I liked about it was not having to look down/ over while maneuvering in Houston traffic to verify the GPS directions.

I think mine only shows if I use the steering wheel control to change stations. I am not 100% on that, but it what I seem to experience.

Like DIC, you can select what to view.

 

HUD Display on the Windshield

Depending on how the vehicle is equipped, the HUD may display some of the following vehicle information and vehicle messages or alerts:
. Speed
. Audio
. Phone
. Navigation
. Driver Assistance Features
. Vehicle Messages
Some vehicle messages or alerts displayed in the HUD may be cleared by using the steering wheel controls.

 

HUD Views
There are four views in the HUD.
Some vehicle information and vehicle messages or alerts may be displayed in any view. 

 

Speed View : This displays the speedometer reading in English or metric units, and speed limit. Some information only appears on
vehicles that have these features, and when they are active. 

 

Active Safety View : This displays the speed view along with a driver assistance graphic on the left. 

Driver assistance graphics show your vehicle, vehicle ahead, gap setting, and lane status information.
In addition to driver assistance graphics, pedestrian advisory and trailer sway indicators will be displayed. 

 

Navigation/Active OnStar View :
This displays the speed view along with indicators for vehicle ahead,
Lane Departure Warning/Lane Keep Assist, trailer sway, and pedestrian advisory. Turn-by-Turn navigation information is shown during active route.

The compass heading is displayed when navigation routing is not active.
Navigation Turn-by-Turn Alerts shown in the instrument cluster may also be displayed in any HUD view. 

 

Off Road View : This displays the speed view along with indicators for vehicle ahead, Lane Departure
Warning/Lane Keep Assist, trailer sway, four-wheel drive status, and pedestrian advisory. Off-road information such as pitch angle, steering angle, and rolling angle is also shown.
