So I wanted a power locking tailgate on my 2019 GMC Canyon. In the past I have used Pop n Lock, but that eventually failed after about 2 years. So Instead, I started looking into how I could retrofit a 2020 power locking handle into my 2019.

 

The video below details everything you need to do it yourself. Totally worth the effort. The OEM lock is much nicer, quieter and will "fingers crossed" last longer than two years.
