I have seen where some guys have stated that they had the seats repaired at the dealership under warranty and the shifting came back? Right now it has been over 3 months and mine is not shifting after the repair. Hmm I wonder if I should get my flashlight out and take a look, I may have some elcheapo pieces of rubber and hose clamps on my seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dealer still denies that there is seat shifting, Rough transmission shifting or hard shifting. I don't have to point any of it out and every passenger in my truck notices it.

The best part is my "Relative" at the tech center car pools with 2 other engineers there and they both just bought new trucks...one a sierra and one a Silverado.

Exact same bitches and complaints we all have. Fuel Mileage, shifting seats, rough shifting and cracks and pops.

I went through the list with them..."Winter Fuel" (though I've been told it was a fuel mixture change in the new program because of the exhaust running too hot.), Bad seat brackets, That's the transmission learning how you drive and what cracks and pops? (showed them the pieces in the truck that made the noise around the radio).

You think I normal customer gets angry about problems with there $50k+ trucks...you should see 2 GM engineers get angry over there $50k+ trucks...it's a sight to behold!

Did you expect a machined titanium brace in there?

kinda expect to see a brand new redesigned seat bracket track that does not shift around and maybe some tater chips that I have dropped.... would hate to think that my favorite dealership that told me they were replacing the seat track would put some jury rigged clamps and rubber pieces on my seat but man I better get down there and look I guess.

Well it has been about 2 weeks since the dealer did a "Performed PI1376" on my 2014 silverado with heated and cooled seats. I have noticed no movement as of today. I am right at 300 lbs. The seat actually fills firmer. 10,670 miles.

I've got a 2015 Sierra and had the PI1376 fix done about 3 weeks ago and have not had any seat movement since the fix. I refuse to put the hose clamps on that others have done to fix the seat movement because I don't think I should have to do this on a brand new truck. This is GM's problem and I expect them to fix it. I'm hopeful that this has permanently fixed the problem and will report back if I have any more seat movement issues.

What's the big deal putting the clamps? At least it's fixed and that's the goal. What's the difference you fix it or GM fixes it as long as the problem is fixed. If GM would put clamps would it be acceptable then? My seat doesn't move but I put clamps before it ever decides to start moving. You can't even see the clamps and for a few bucks it's fixed, you don't have to bring your truck and let it set in a dealer shop, plus the time to do it especially when "their so called" fix may not work.

I took my 2014 in for the repair, and there was no change it shifted turning out of the parking lot, all I got was a ding in the right rear door, that was not there before I left it I had the writer to walk around the truck and look before I left, and check, and there was none, and now they are saying it was there when I brought it in, I had it fixed, and waiting for small claims court to handle it, but the only way I would take my truck back to Tuscaloosa motors, is if the engine fell out, I did put the clamps and rubber fix and now no problems, wish I had done it first before letting them ass up my truck....................If they came out with a real fix I wouldn't take it back............

Is 30 days the magic number?

90 days here and all good. I guess I am being to picky making the dealer fix the actual problem. I may just go ahead and trade up to a 15 and get those jury rigged rubber pieces and hose clamps on that puppy as soon as I get it home LOL....

Anyone have a pic of the new dealer clamps? Im going in for my first oil change and rear noise issue and was wondering if the dealer fix would be better than the clamps I have on now. They keep coming a little loose every 5 or 6 days.

    • On 2021 3500hd it consistently sets automatically when selecting park if the incline/decline is above a certain angle.
    • Curious, did anyone ever get a fix for the vibration reported here.   I have a 2024 Silverado with 6.6 duramax.   I’m noting the same vibration resonating up through the steering shaft into the steering wheel.    Best way to describe- like someone is tapping on the steering shaft/components and it’s resonating into the steering wheel.    thanks.
    • Hi friends - first time poster. I have a 2015 sierra Denali with 150k miles, I’m the second owner and she’s given me 75k of great service. I run a pulse AFM disable device. Starting Thursday when I exited the freeway after a short local ride it started idling rough, with an obvious misfire shake and was down on low end power.  I got it home and hooked it up to my scannner and found no codes but in live data a pretty bad misfire on cylinder 5. I replaced the coil, plug and wire with all new OE replacements (Delphi gn10165 coil, acdelco wire and 41-168 plug). It’s still behaving the same way after firing the parts cannon at it.   I know cyl 5 is a non AFM cylinder so I am not thinking this is AFM related but I’m kinda at a loss. injector? Bent pushrod? It’s running too well over 1k rpm to suggest those IMO. Has anyone chase this issue before and what was it? Any suggestions?
    • 2017 Silverado L83 5.3l 6speed transmission Hello, not a new member but havent posted in a while and my old signup info isnt working so had to create a new account. anyways, I have an issue with my truck and hope someone can spread some light on whats happening: -when it goes to 4cyl mode it makes a clunk sound (but not when coasting or going downhill) -when in 4 cyl mode and under load it makes a load pulsating sound (not a tick). -goes away completely when in M5 gear or when plugging in an AFM delete. Im guessing it is one of 2 things but im not convinced of either to be honest. 1. lifter stuck in v8 mode 2. torque converter shudder realistically it doesn't seem like the TC as there is no physical vibration , and it never happens in v8 mode. but maybe? and wouldnt a lifter make a sound whether with load or not? any ideas let me know please. thank you!
    • Which has made me wonder with the various engine failures of a few brands in the last few years, is it sub par materials such as lifters etc causing failures, or bearing clearances on the crank etc or perhaps bad designing of an engine physically or causing too much load on the components due to the hp/torque they can push out of them. Or is the oil viscosity and additive package of current oils or a lack of oil flow by an oil pump not able to supply sufficient oil at idle or under high load at low rpm. Or is it every item I listed that combined together has pushed the limits so far to the left that there is hardly a margin of safety left and add in some fuel dilution and too long of an OCI and premature engine failure is the result ?.
