Hey my mom tells me one thing with ordering and the dealer another (they’ve never custom ordered a vehicle for anyone they say), but here’s my question - do you get the current rebates when you order or the rebates when it’s delivered? Am I pretty safe ordering now for delivery in March/April, closer to end of production year?

Rebates when you take possession/delivery. Least that is what I have been told. Please correct if I'm wrong.

Getting ready to order my new 2020 Silverado still going back and forth on what engine to get. It's only like $950 difference but that not it. I don't pull a heavy load anymore so do I need another 6.2 or will the 5.3 feel slow or under powered??????

I'm going with the RST in black with black leather.

I traded a 2018 sierra 6.2 in for a 2019 sierra 5.3 in december. No regrets from me. The power difference is barely noticeable and when I get on the 5.3 it has plenty of get up and go. I haven't towed yet ,but my boat isnt that heavy anyway. Fuel savings is a plus, since I no longer have to use premium gas. The 6.2 was overkill for what I need the truck for. If you plan on putting a lift and bigger tires, I would probably go with the 6.2, bc I drove a 5.3 rocky ridge that left me wanting more.

No, when they change, you get what is available at the time of purchase.

Not trying to stir the pot, but with the amount of time you have spent on the site, looking at others problems, and success stories, do you think you will be happy with the truck?

Have you had a chance to drive something similar to what you are buying?

This is what I was hoping to here from someone that has done this. I heard near the same on another forum. Thank you makes may discussion easier now. Getting older not looking to go with big tire or a lift. Had to add running boards just so my wife could still get in a stock truck.

Check out the electric steps from gm, they come out farther and down lower than a normal step. I really like them. I think you have to add this feature when you order the truck as they cant be added after the fact unless you go aftermarket.

You seem to know way more than I do about this. I'm still looking at differences when ordering and what I can and can't get. Many things I want I would have to go to the LTZ to get. I'm hooked on the RST look no chrome. But come on not even a wireless phone charger without adding. Dealer keeps telling me that I have loaded up my RST almost to the LTZ level. I'm just waiting until the guy that bought my truck come threw with the money.

I got a call from the dealer today and they said that my truck is in. Trying to pick it up on Saturday. It's a Black 2020 LT Trailboss with the 6.2. I can't wait.

Crazy TPW was 2/10 I was checking with Chevy Chat all this week. Monday it showed 3300 and Tuesday it showed 3400 Thursday they said it showed "bayed" I emailed my salesman Thursday night trying to get an idea when it may show up. He called this afternoon and said he had the invoice with a shipping expiration of 2/18. Texted these pics a few minutes later after he decided to go over to the body shop lot where lots of their new stuff is dropped off. I am wondering if the paint is even dry. Pretty good turnaround seeing how we ordered it on 1/13/20 I should be picking it up early next week

I’m never happy, although quite happy with my suburban, I drove a LT TB with leather, that’s as close to the one I bought with the option I wanted
