Beyond frustrated.... ordered 19 Chev Silverado Custom Trail Boss 13 weeks ago.  I've had to reach out to the dealership multiple times, finally was told that it is out of production and bayed in Fort Wayne as of 5/14/19.  It has been assigned a VIN. Any feel for delivery time frame, northern Wisconsin?  The whole thing seems ridiculous, considering was given a 6 week time frame in late February. Looking for a sanity check.

Sorry to hear bro. Mine was ordered in late April. Given a build date of June 17th. And my dealer said it’s usually a two week delivery time after that to NY. So hopefully you are in the early to mid June ballpark.

Hopefully you will have better luck. I heard a couple different things about production delays early on - involving the 5.3 engines. I think that's been resolved.  Tempted to take an Indiana run to rescue it!

Might not be a bad idea. Gotta get those break in miles done anyway. Lol

FINALLY got my VIN today! 2-4 weeks for shipping, dealer prep and it should be mine! Bought the Pacific Blue AT4 C/C with the 6.2... I’m a happy camper today but a thousand times more anxious! :)

It sounds like GM is focusing more on crew cab now, and manufacture them in Fort Wayne plan here in the US. It looks like double and regular cabs are manufacturing with less interest from GM. That should be one of the reasons that the lead time is getting longer for double and regular cabs. These two (2) links explain more in details:

Any idea how much longer the 2019s will be in production? I heard they will start taking 2020 orders soon. I placed an order for a 5.3 AT4 in late April and with the constraint on production, I am worried we are going to miss out and have to start the process all over. Was really hoping to be able to enjoy the truck for the summer.

Does anyone know when the AT4 Carbon Pro edition will be available? Right now my plan is to buy a new truck around mid-late August but am considering waiting for the Carbon Pro edition. If this has been talked about before in this thread I apologize but I did not want to scroll through 50 pages to find it. Thanks for the help and congrats to all the new owners!

I believe the Carbon Pro edition starts this summer but I can’t confirm.

It could be at the dealership getting a PDI. But your XM sub shouldn’t begin until you get the keys IMHO....

Just got back from my dealer. Sat down with the Ordering manager and learned some things.

1) Chevy is still pushing dealers to order 2019 trucks up until the first week in August (8/5) when 2019 Production stops.

2) 2020 production of Silverado’s starts the following week. As of Right now, he is unable to place 2020’s orders. And doesn’t have info yet one when ordering will open up (he figures mid July).

3) On the build program for Chevy on 2020’s, the 5.3 / 10Speed is listed as well as the 6.2 / 10 Speed, though the 6.2 Option for the RST / LT Trailboss is blacked out and not available to select.

He has a meeting with the regional rep tomorrow morning, and told me he would specifically ask for updates on when the LT TB with 6.2 will be available to order.

That said, they told me that the 2019 I ordered Is still mine if I want it, but once it arrives , or once ordering for the 2020 opens up, if I still want to go with a 6.2L 2020, they will gladly sell the 2019 and carry my deposit over to a 2020. Right now I’m 95% sure I’ll be holding out for a 6.2L / 10Speed LT Trailboss.

Hope this helps anyone in the same boat trying to decide which one to go with.

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
    • If you use compressed air regularly, one problem you cannot ignore is moisture. Water in the air line can cause rust, unstable air pressure, poor tool performance, and even damage to sensitive equipment. That is why I highly recommend using a desiccant air dryer. A desiccant air dryer is designed to remove moisture from compressed air by using drying materials such as activated alumina or molecular sieve. Compared with basic water separators, it can achieve much lower dew points, making it especially useful for applications that require dry and stable air. For workshops, painting systems, pneumatic tools, CNC machines, laser cutting equipment, and industrial production lines, a desiccant air dryer can make a big difference. It helps protect equipment, improve air quality, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the service life of the whole compressed air system. Another advantage is reliability. Many desiccant air dryers are built for continuous operation and can maintain stable drying performance even in demanding environments. For users who care about long-term efficiency and equipment protection, this is a smart investment. When choosing a desiccant air dryer, I suggest paying attention to air flow capacity, working pressure, dew point performance, regeneration method, and maintenance requirements. A good model should match your compressor system and actual air consumption. Overall, if moisture is causing problems in your compressed air system, a desiccant air dryer is definitely worth considering. It is practical, efficient, and highly useful for anyone who needs clean, dry, and reliable compressed air.
    • My brand new 2007 Silverado's wax frame was rust from end to end partway through it's SECOND winter here in MA. That stuff is completely useless.
