From what I found out about this...the shop icon came out in I believe 2018. If you opt for or get the shop icon, you have to buy the Pandora app. Prior to that, it was standard and free.

The HMI I got from Dokus was from a 18.

So how is shipping going to be to get our module(s) to Canada and back? I had an e-mail out to Chris and haven't heard a peep yet.
Most things I buy from eBay cost between $12 and $15 to ship to me.

I don't see it costing much more to return. I have a corporate shipping account so I'll get the best discount available.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Not yet, Scott. I'll keep you posted. Shop should be fully set up with verified tested units within 2 weeks time. (I understand, it feels like an eternity).

Any updates in regards to successful programs will be posted here.

I know lol. I'm also incredibly impatient and waiting for all of these parts to come in legitimately feels like an eternity.

I want this to be working in my truck so badly.

Or if you can wait a week or two I'll be offering the same service for a fraction of the price. If you need it ASAP I'd go with WAMS

So I’ve been following this thread closely.

Recently I took my truck (2015 Silverado)to get my transmission checked out I thought it wasn’t smooth.Turns out there was a update and they charged me $130. With that simple update it runs way smoother.

so after some digging I decided purchase an VCXNano and paid The $40 subscription.

Updated the radio myself instead of paying the Dealer more of my money ..Now Siri works perfectly .

And I’m able to make calls receive them and text just fine .

I. Got the HMI 2.5 from Dokus

Bought the USB Port

and Updated Radio.

Hell yeah! Congrats on doing it yourself.

Now, would you mind doing us a favor? I need to try and figure out what build date the radios start working with the update and don't require a full replacement.

If you could let me know your part number and build date of the radio I would appreciate it. Thanks!

P.S. - Do you know what exactly they updated on your tranny? My 2-1 downshift sucks. Feel free to PM me.

Where would I look to see what my radio firmware version is. I would like to compare mine to @Crsortiz1

On the other hand I love that a fellow Canadian is doing this and shipping will be a breeze! :)

Hey everyone. I just bought a 2015 silverado and am incredibly interested in this process. I think once @th3magpi3 is ready I will jump on board.

Been lurking here from time to time but want to say thanks for the research and will be interested in upgrading my 2015.5 2500 when you get setup.

    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
    • I haven't seen inventory recovery from COVID.    In the few random times I 'build my own' truck or SUV, no one has the exact one I want.   GM has been working to lower incentives too for a long time.    A $500 incentive isn't getting me off the couch to go truck shopping.
