RST front turn signal bulbs?

Recommended Posts

They ones yall are using with the built in resistors are not available on Amazon.com any longer, nor can I find them anywhere online. I searched and searched last night, along with reading a LOT of reviews on Amazon on other LED options. They almost ALL said the buyers ended up needing a resistor.

So screw it, I'll just stick with the OEM bulb. I researched replacing the flasher relay, but apparently you can no longer do that on new trucks. And I don't want to mess with wiring in new resistors, since it looks like you have to wire that into the feed for the whole lamp assembly.

For something that should be such a simple upgrade, it sure isn't.

The non-LED turn signals are really one of the weakest points on the lighting game of these trucks. It's crazy how weak the light is on them, IMO.

Also, I don't like how GM (on the Chevys at least) kind of "hid" the turn signal from the side with that side air curtain design. I love the design in general, but I am a lot more cautious changing lanes on the multi-lane interstates around DFW because I feel side traffic cannot see your turn signal at ALL.

Don't worry. Everyone can see you in that beast ??

Shout out to JR09country. The LED bulbs he recommended have built-in resistors and work great. No hyper flash. ????

For how long have you had the bulbs? Can you share the link?

Anyone did their rear taillights and blinkers yet?

All the 2019s besides the WT have LED taillamps and blinkers.

Unless you are asking about a different rear light?

Not true, unfortunately. I have a LT2 allstar and it came with regular bulbs in the rear. Didn’t notice until I was given a loaner from the dealer (a low end custom) that had LED taillights. Annoyed that $50k doesn’t have LEDs all around.  I’ve since changed the bulbs to LED but haven’t found a viable solution for the hyper flash cause by the brake light turn signal combo.

Weird. The Customs have LED tail lamps. I didn’t realize the LTs didn’t. Very strange Chevy gave them LED headlamps but not tail lamps. ???‍♂️

I wonder if the LED rears would work off of a custom or rst? Unlike the headlights i think the taillights are the same size as each other wether you have the leds or halogens.

Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum and I am looking for some help. I bought a 2019 silverado LT with led headlights and regular bulb tail lights. I changed the tail light from regular bulb turn signals to the chevy ltz taillights I bought off someone nearby. I am getting hyperflash when turn signals go on but not the hazards. And a message on dash to check rear turn signal. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do? I tried placing resistor but didnt work.  Thank you

This harness should make them work for you. You may have not put the resistor in the right spot or not the right value. The system is kind of finicky.

Promo code LD19 will give you 20% off through tomorrow.

Just be warned that the resistors get really hot, so try to heat sink them against the hitch or a similar metal object, and know they will melt any plastic ties nearby!

Also, the resistors have a limited lifespan. I had to replace them both once on my 2016. It’s one of those things where I would have paid up for a better resistor but nobody makes one. All Chinese junk. Good luck.

Thank you so much, I just ordered the harness crossing fingers works

    • Not sure about DFM tech but i know there's a stop/start deactivation button.
    • I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. I would want a longer warranty to help build confidence. I’m a less is more guy as I get older. A V-8 work truck model would be my choice. I know a few outfitters for custom additions I prefer.
    • It's official. GMC pulled the covers off the next-gen 2027 Sierra 1500, and we got the first official look. Full breakdown here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/next-gen-2027-gmc-sierra-1500-v8-trim-changes/   The quick hits: SLE and SLT are dead. The new core retail trim is just called "Elevation". Two new V8s, a 5.7L and a 6.6L built with high-performance Corvette architecture roots. No horsepower or torque numbers yet. The 2.7 TurboMax finally ditches the old gearbox and gets the 10-speed automatic. AT4X moves to larger standard 35-inch tires with front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and heavy-duty Jounce Control Dampers. Over 60 inches of combined display on Denali Ultimate and AT4X, complete with a motorized articulating center screen and an adaptive passenger screen. Seven simplified trims across the entire model line to clean up ordering confusion.   So let's get into it: New 5.7L and 6.6L gas V8s with custom active exhaust tuning and a Corvette connection. Is this the exact engine lineup half-ton traditionalists have been begging for? Purging the iconic SLE and SLT names after all these years to lean entirely on Elevation as the high-volume core. Bold move, or a mistake? That motorized articulating 16.3-inch screen that slides up to reveal a hidden dashboard vault. Awesome mechanical theater, or does it make you nervous about long-term durability? Physically lowering the headlamps in the front fascia to improve road courtesy and stop blinding oncoming traffic. Smart real-world engineering, or does it hurt the truck's aggressive stance? What trim are you putting your name down for on day one? Drop your first impressions below.
    • My overnight hospital stay turned into five.  I developed a post operative fever and an erratic  heart rate.  A blood clot in the lungs was the culprit.  This is apparently a common post surgical complication and easily remedied.   I was the youngest in a four bed ward and a Doctor with a Geriatric specialization was in charge of my care.  All of the nurses were good and some were outstanding at dealing with old people.  It was very evident that my age triggered a different level of care!  My advice to any senior going for a hospital stay is to have a trusted family member advocate visible.  If not, you will still be well cared for, but you may discover that your voice  isn't as strong as it once was!
