If they offered this in an extended cab short bed then I would opt out of the Chevrolet SS I'm thinking of buying for this. Plus it will be easier to get versus ordering from Australia. Will monitor for the short term.

Still remember my Grand Dads Cheyenne & Scottsdale way back in the day. While they are nothing the same, I dig the name.

That said, they need to name their trim levels. Customers respond to that (Big Horn/Laramie/Longhorn Lariat/King Ranch etc) more so than the LT variants on trucks.

AND, Last I checked Most dealers are still getting well above invoice for Raptors and they are commanding a premium on the used market this long after launch..... Dodge's Mopar add on kits haven't caught on like the factory built truck........ Halo trucks aren't a bad thing.

Not around here they are discounted pretty well

No spare tire?

Not even a donut?

This is a concept and as it sits it will NEVER see production. Carbon-ceramic brakes? Carbon fiber bed? As it sits you're talking about easily a $60-$70,000 truck. If this becomes anything it will be like Ford's Tremor and it will forgo the exotic stuff.

Take out the ceramic brakes and all the other fancy stuff, keep the suspension and wheels/tires, change the exhaust and put a hitch on it for the occasional boat tow and I think they have something here. With that being said I hope the come out with a Raptor fighter in Detroit as I will be there!

Just add the 6.2 and 3.73 gearing onto the existing regular cab option list. Not a difficult concept unless you are an auto manufacturer lol.

Ill take the exhaust, the body color treatment of all the normal chrome bits, i'd even take the wheels (just not enough 19" truck tires out there though), I like the overall idea and hope they make, but if not like I said let us have some of the bits off of it anyway.

its about time ! screw all those extended this 4 door that crewcab BS ! forget all that off-road fat stuff ! I want a lightnig killer !

CAll it an SS. Agree the name is idiotic. The last truck that wore it was the stripped down version. It would be like calling the new Z/28 the "Berlinetta"

They already did that in the 90's with the 454SS. It was a pathetic excuse for a big block at a wimpy 230 HP, and tarnished the SS name, at least for me.

Well, the first 454 was. it gained power, and I think a $200 chip alone added like 50 HP, with exhaust and a new TBI freed up over 100HP or something. For $1500 people were getting like 500HP out of them.

Because there were so many powerful engines in the early 90's

^^ thats funny !!!! ^^ LOL ! i agree !
