issue RECALL - Fire Risk

My dealer just called and said the update came in and he scheduled me for 10AM tomorrow morning. I'll post how things go.

 

By the way, my VIN still hasn't shown up on mychevrolet.com for this recall. Has anyone else's?

I messaged Amber on here last night to check my VIN, she said that nothing came back for my truck.

 

I called my local dealership today, and they listed four things I needed to come in for: AFM, BCM, rear window parts replacement (which I already did before the TSB came out, so I'm not sure I still need it), and the more recent fire hazard recall. My truck was built 5/13.

 

Anyways, I have an appointment to get it all fixed on Friday.

It isn't. There is no way in hell a V8 will run smooth on two cyls.

Exactly why I said ... good way to build a 80k mile engine ....

After reading your reply I called my dealer and asked him to pull my VIN # I too have the same 4 recalls showing. Yet all the sites I checked listed no recalls.

 

The latest recall wasn't announced until this past Saturday. I took delivery of my vehicle Friday morning so I realize that recall wouldn't have been covered. But when my truck was being prepped for delivery to me, shouldn't the other recalls have been taken care of by the service department?

I live in Alaska and haven't been notified by my dealer of this recall and my gm website doesn't have it either. Weird.

Mine wasn't on the website either, and I had to call my dealership to find out. I'd recommend calling them with your VIN, or you could just wait to see if they contact you.

Actual recall email posted.

Funny thing is I heard about this from the news. Saw the 10 topics posted here. Checked my VIN against the GM recall website no recalls. Got a call from my dealer saying I was not impacted.

 

Today I get this email. Seems a little odd... just saying.
