I am not surprised.  With how stupid GM has been the past few years in just about all regards, I predict we'll continue to see things deteriorate.  I'll be celebrating when the Silverado gets knocked out of the number 2 spot for best selling truck/vehicle as it will be then that many of the idiots there at GM now will finally start to humble themselves and maybe just maybe start to focus on building a truck again instead of the piss poor excuse that the 2019 is now.

GM has reported 2.5 billion profits and still got a quarter to go this year. Upper management announced record profits while building and selling LESS vehicles. They are loving this and believe it is a sustainable marketing strategy moving forward. Like all the mfg's they openly admit trucks are the main reason for the record profits. No wonder Ford is mostly exiting the car market

Typical dropping the ball thinking that the current or past customer base will keep them going.

Meanwhile, RAM picks up more potential first time buyers than GM.

This is where GM goes south on their future.

Still no commercials on T1. Still seeing K2 commercials and rebate pushes instead of new T1 advertising.

They just recently launched online build at the Chevy website.

This should have been at SEMA:

There is a reason GM quit reporting monthly sales, they know they’re going to slide to 3rd place in truck sales. All Mary Barra cares about is profit per vehicle, that’s why we have the outdated, cheap interior in the new trucks. Also why the latest tech Ford and RAM have and is missing on the new trucks. Greed will be the death of GM.

I agree, the booth at SEMA was meh, looked like last years lol. Was nice to finally sit in a 2019... and the interior space was great. Back seat I fit awesome.. and over 6 foot.

Ford had it going on like usually... the mustang chases out front with Joey Logano.. and Vaughn Gittin Jr beating the snot out of a new raptor ( which that V6 sounded absolutely terrible compared to a 5.0 V8 ) and the cobras out there ripping it up. I was disappointed in the lack of GM's involvement. I only saw 1 new Sierra as well, that was a bummer.

I am hardcore GM, and really hope they bring more excitement next year to the show......

You'll wise up eventually and realize its not worth being hardcore GM when they don't deserve it.

Currently I am happy with my GM trucks and car. When the time comes to buy a new vehicle, of course I will look around, but my first stop always is GM. Obviously if I felt like a product that cost's 50K+ is inferior to another vehicle of the same category, I would not spend the money on it.

Basically when I say hardcore GM, I always put them first in my searches, and I follow the brand more than any other..... but of course I would not purchase something just because it's GM. lol.

Gm is dropping the ball, and not just at SEMA. They stopped building the Regular Cab Pickup in the 2500HD and 3500HD, and the Cab and Chassis in both also. All that says to the Consumer is------go ahead and buy a Ford or a Dodge. Of coarse GM will tell you different, and for you to wait a year. Sorry, GM, but if you cannot build what we want, we will go elsewhere------now, and not wait a year. If you can build a crew cab 2500HD then you can build a regular cab. You screwed up again!

Actually GM is doing something smart by not offering the regular cab.  The sales numbers for those are so low, they are wasting money by keeping it an option with the tooling and parts for it.  Sorry regular cab fan boys, no sympathy here!
