Got started on the jump seat leather upgrade and once I get that done I'll be mounting the amp inside the bottom compartment.

Seatback is a little more challenging (they didn't include original type clips on the inside) so it looks like I'll have to remove the entire unit and improvise a bit.IMG_1512.thumb.JPG.f522c02905fab08014d6b32cfccec624.JPGIMG_1511.thumb.JPG.f877c04f761a5bbf6701b033ae499f84.JPG

I still need to figure out how to secure the material inside on top as I don't think the plastic insert will hold it in place but overall it wasn't  that difficult. IMG_1515.thumb.JPG.0154c975f5c1afbe568450a44e3ad28c.JPGIMG_1514.thumb.JPG.90551879d7c83e240a3a4d660c3f2fe6.JPG

Are you doing the seats too?

I originally planned to but I decided to go with black cloth and add the power seat instead (the dog or I would probably destroy leather!)

I finally got around to finishing the speaker adapters. The rings are 13mm Baltic Birch sealed with black paint and the outside is wrapped in RaamMat sound deadener. I laid out  a bead of non hardening modeling clay between the rings and plastic, squished them together with clamps, countersunk some holes in the top of the adapters and screwed them together. I then packed around the rings and bottom with more clay making them very stiff and totally non resonant. I will use Raamaudio Ensolite stick on foam for a gasket between the door frame and adapter and foam weatherstripping to seal the adapter to the inside of the door panel. IMG_1612.thumb.JPG.7b179db2357bc1987762fd42322551d6.JPGIMG_1614.thumb.JPG.07af77982ce39f625cf2f0f0597b0821.JPG

Awesome build thread Marv! Do you by chance have any more info on the remote dropping tailgate? I clicked on the link you posted early in your tread but it just links me back to the same page. Thanks and nice work!

Thanks Lucas! Below is my original thread and on the third page there is a link to the pictures photobucket previously blocked from hot linking. Also, the issue of the tailgate dropping randomly was addressed in that thread by a member here however it was resolved much easier by another member who just had me add a second relay to the pulsing wire. If you have any questions not addressed feel free to message or I can send you my phone number.

By the way, the jump seat turned out really nice. Looks like you originally had the jump seat without the lower compartment. I was actually looking into picking up one with the locking compartment when I do my Katskinz upgrade. Do you happen to know if the compartment can be keyed so it would match the key for the truck? Thanks!
