My biggest fear is they wont ship until post strike. If this delays my truck for more than a week or two I may just go buy a Dodge.

Whoa! Slow down there. I realize you're anxious to get the new ride, but waiting a week, or even a few weeks is no reason to go making a silly decision like that which you will regret for a long time thereafter. :)

It was a close pick between the chevy and dodge. I don't need much persuasion to change my mind and not regret it.

My new truck is stuck in a rail car 7 miles from my dealer at an old GM plant and they have no clue when it will come off. Wish I could bring the bill of sale and pick it up myself

Hello Everybody!  First post on the forum, just placed an order for a 6.2L LT Trail Boss.  The engine is still on constraint, and who knows what will happen with the strike.  The dealer entered it as a "sold" order and will know Tuesday if the order is accepted by GM.  At least they were able to enter the preliminary order, so that is some progress (have been anxiously waiting since the May 25th announcement of the 6.2L option in the Trail Boss and RST trims)!

I will keep you posted on updates, I know from lurking here for months that several are interested in ordering the 6.2 Trail Boss.

Anyone able to provide the link to the table to the manufacturing dates of the 2020 1500s.  I know they starting building them in August.  Table has when orders opened up as well.  Looked for a couple hours cannot find it..

I've been waiting for this as well... but planned on pulling the trigger end of year or Spring.  Now I see the GMC AT4 and it's really got my interest. Keep us posted on your order.

I actually received my first update today.   Scheduled to build week of 12/30, so I am guessing early February delivery.  Later than I hoped, but have been waiting so long...what’s another few weeks? ??

That's an interesting TPW between the holidays but great you've made it that far.  Been there done that on the wait before but it's all fun and anticipation.  This will be one of the 1st 6.2L Trail Boss trucks.  Enjoy it!

I test drove a 6.2L GMC today for the 1st time and was blow away with the acceleration compared to my current 5.3. I was already sold but there's no doubt now.  Also, the 10 speed is finally going in across the board which is huge as well.

Hopefully I'm not too far behind you with the Trail Boss or an AT4 sometime before then since they already had 6.2 + 10 speed.

Hello everyone. Ordered on 12/12/19 and got TPW of 1/27/20 on 12/19/19..super excited.

First ordered truck. Coming from a 2002 f350 powerstroke extended cab for my truck. Also have a 2018 Camaro.

LTZ 2020 crew cab short bed

3.0 diesel

Z71 4x4

satin steel

20” wheels

ltz premium package

technology package

tow mirrors

trailer tpms sensors

splash guards

black bow tie

Trying to determine if the trailboss lift can be installed on it... they are not showing on on the accessory pages anymore it seems for any configuration. And if it will fit in my garage with the lift @ door height of 81”. Might need to just add it later.

Sorry to hear that. Hope it moves up for you! The wait is a sure killer. What’s your spec? I heard from the dealer that they can place a stock order or a sold order and that impacts timelines potentially.

The order was placed as a sold order.

The spec is 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 with the 3.0 Diesel. Tow mirrors, Off road assist steps, splash guards, basically fully loaded.

Wondering if its because i'm in Canada?

Also wondering if they build certain vehicles during certain weeks. Like one week is allocated to silverados the next week sierras or is it all just random? Can't see why you'd have a sooner build week with a later order!

I ordered my 1500 denali with carbon pro in mid november and still don't have an order number.  SA saying that truck production is delayed until February due to the carbon bed delays.  Anyone know of there's truth to that?

    • On my wife's 2020 Blazer (~69000 miles), we started to notice the brakes pulsating at faster speeds. Typically around town you don't notice anything, but highway/interstate driving you will notice it. I decided to pull of the front tires and look at the brakes. I figured with the milage, the pads should be wearing out to their life span, but they actually looked decent. Still with "meat" on them. One pad has a ridge wearing in it, and that same rotor is showing the ridge too. That's not the concerning part...the other rotor appears to have a raised bump on it!  The picture make it look like a pimple! Very odd and strange! NOTE: These are the factory brakes and rotors.   I'm attaching pictures of the front brakes and what they look like ate ~69000 miles.
    • 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD Custom 6.6 Gas Canadian built Truck  I tried to search for my previous thread on this topic but cant find it so my apoligies  for starting another one    #1   Since we have owned our truck purchased new it has this strange noise after using the remote start function  you press the remote start and you hear it start but right at the end of it starting it almost seems like it wants to start again after the truck is running .   There is no gap in time it is right at the end of the start . Almost sounds like when you have started a car/truck and its running and then you try and start it again and you get that grinding noise ,sort of     #2  You can only hear this if you are standing outside of the truck and near the truck  you cant hear it when you start the truck from inside  the cab . So it may very well be happening when starting the truck that way as in normally    #3   This only happens when it is started after sitting . For how long I don't know but it happens after sitting overnight for sure and it wont do it if you stop the engine after starting and then start it again  I have had it in to the Dealership before concerning this but they did not have the truck  when it was cold to hear it . Now its back in the Dealership left it overnight so they could possibly hear the problem . They said they tried and nothing happened . Well they did not know what they were listening for . I started the truck remotely and BINGO it makes the noise . Oh that sounds weird they say . We need to look into it ! I have left for this week at the Dealership    Does your 2024 2500 HD gas do this ?  Any of you fellas care to take the time and trouble to film this operation from a cold start  so I can hear what your sound like  Really  would like to know if this is anormal sound  Thank You Fellas !!
    • 2026 Z71.  The other day I was backing a trailer into the barn.  The alarm was going off just because the trailer was in the field of the warning sensors when you get too close to something.  For some reason now the warning alarm doesn't work anymore.  It used to go off when I was just normally backing my truck into garage.  I still have the guidelines in the back up camera.  Is there a button or something to push to turn the sound/Alarm on and off?  I have the touch screen in this truck.  There isn't a "P" on the dash except for the parking brake.  I can't find anything in the touch screen under settings or vehicle.  Thank you in advance.
    • Well one of our most reliable vehicles was sold yesterday. The first and only I gave for free to a grandkid. If they got skin in the game they take care of it. My wife bought new. Five years later my daughter got it to use. We got it back and gave it to our grandson after graduation. He did zero maintenance just oil changes. When the AC quit he drove his mother’s car rather than get it fixed. Instead he just bought a beater and sold the Elantra.
    • I usually do as well or better than the sticker for mileage. Usually better going west than east. North then South. Wind makes a difference. I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist. But it did dawn on me I’m going by the vehicle calculation. Now that would be interesting.
