The dealer didn't ask for a deposit. I offered it. As an aside, years ago I ordered an olds toronado with a deposit. Once it came in someone offered them over list price and they sold it out from under me. Gladly returning my deposit so the deposit isn't a guarantee either.

Every vehicle (except my 19) I put a “goodwill” deposit down. Usually $500. Not a big deal fully refundable. With my 19 didn’t need anything I even offered, probably because a year prior I bought a Camaro from them.

It depends on the dealership.  We purchased our last 5 vehicles from the dealership I got my 2019 and they still wanted a deposit.

I'm not questioning/ doubting you, rather asking out of my own ignorance, but if you don't give them a deposit, is there a risk of them selling your truck to someone else once it's built and delivered?

When you fill out the build sheet, you sign it as well as the salesperson signing it. The nice thing is, if you don’t like it when you see it, you can tell them you don’t want it with no consequences. To answer your question, no, you have priority over anybody else. I would find the highest selling/best rated dealership in your area and use them. Hope this helps.

Just received word that my ordered RST is just days away from arriving at the dealership. Given that quarterly sales will be revealed at the end of the month, would it behoove me to wait to July to get better incentives? My dealer cuerently offers $1500 of their flex and bonus cash, plus gm allowances of 4700. Hoping incentives will be even better

Its a crap shoot, ask them if they will back date paperwork if the deal is worse in July. Dealers  will play that game on the day the next's months deals are out and give the better deal.

Just got word that I've been upped to a 2020. I had the premium package, technology package and max trailering on an LTZ crew. Would the newly available adaptive cruise and trailering view? be part of these or ordered seperately?  I'm curious to know if possible before I go to the dealer to review the new order.

I can’t answer your question but happy for you getting into a 2020. I know you were leaning towards it. Good luck at the dealership.

Placed my order on 4/16. Order was accepted on 4/26. Got the call from the dealership last Saturday 6/29 that my 19 LT Trailboss Arrived. Was undecided on taking the 2019 or waiting for a 2020, but they offered me a great lease deal on the 2019 so I pulled the trigger. Had the dealer install Assist Steps and a Hard Rolling Tonneau Cover, so I should be picking it up in the afternoon tomorrow.

Shipping from Mexico. Got on the gmc.com chat and found out my truck is at eagle pass coming out of Mexico. Disappointed not Ft Wayne plant since that is only 300 miles from me. Anyway anyone know the process and timing on a Mexico truck ? Again wished it was Ft Wayne

WOW! I thought the crew cabs were only being built in Fort Wayne. As far as shipping, everything I have seen is not very routine. Hopefully it arrives soon.

Ordered LT TB standard bed on 5/1. Been stuck in Milpitas, CA rail yard for the last week and some with no ETA.

Frustrating it's only ~15 miles from my house and I can't just go pick it up there :/

Also when I ordered I thought all standard beds were made in US (noticed all the ones online had 1 VINs) but mine is from Mexico...

And I thought I had a long wait... just got mine today (ordered 5/1) but it’s well worth the wait!

Make sure you check the paint before taking delivery - my hood got damaged during delivery and didn’t find out until I got home. I will have my Detailer fix it, not trusting the dealer to do a proper job.
