What bumper are you going with?

Grabbing a one off prototype from someone on Instagram then making a couple changes with it. Simple valance style "bumper". I'll post photos as soon as it's done

Regeared to 4.10s on Tuesday (7/17/18) and put 500 miles on before this weekend's prerun for next months offroad event. Unfortunately, due to the new gears I was forced to tune the truck as cruise control did not work... Long story short, I purchased a Diablo I3 and uploaded a custom tune yesterday.

Along with shift points, gear ratio, tire size, etc, I adjusted the radiator fans due to my over heating transmission. Its now setup to run the fans considerably more once temps are above 210 and 100% after 225. After testing this in the mountains today, I'm happy to report it made a significant difference in temps.

While I had gotten to 250 twice before, I stayed under 220 95% of the time while creeping up over 230 once during some more "spirited" driving haha.

Regarding the bumper, it should be going on this upcoming weekend!

are you still running the stock spindles? Looks like it sits pretty high for just kings & UCA's. .  I'm doing my 17 in a few weeks and going with Kings/Cognito UCA and debating adding the Cognito spindles as well. Your truck is the exact look I want but i also need it to be functional since I live in the desert as well.

interesting you mention upgrading gears and losing cruise control, I upgraded from 3.42 to 4.10 and my cruise control is gone too, ive been trying to get some ideas on why it disappeared, never thought re gearing would do it.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I couldn't seem to find them either but if you call and talk to Serena and let her know you want the same setup at Ryan with AZRR she'll get you squared away!

Just completed two days of trails with my offroad expedition group Arizona Raptor Runs and minus the new valance falling off, it was a smooth trip with no issues!

Here's the valance a buddy made for me. He kinda zipped it together quickly so the welds broke and the plastic valance portion broke off the tabs that were welded to the bolt on tubing... He's making another so stay tuned haha

Almost forgot to mention the new Baja Design lights that went on this past weed just before the two day run....

2x Squadron Pros on their own GM specific mounts. Extremely impressed with the build quality of both the lights and mounts. Light output is incredible as well!

1x S2 Sport Chase light on SDHQs chase mount. Simple design that flat out works.

Both are stupid easy to install with 30-45 minutes for all three lights minus wiring of course!

I'll try and get some comparison photos showing the headlights and the new Baja Design lights to show how much light they put out!

I might have to come out on one of these runs! I just ordered all my parts so everything should be here within the next 2 weeks.

You definitely should! Really laid back atmosphere and focused on community. We don't push the number of miles per day, we just aim to have a good time with the whole group.

    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
    • I haven't seen inventory recovery from COVID.    In the few random times I 'build my own' truck or SUV, no one has the exact one I want.   GM has been working to lower incentives too for a long time.    A $500 incentive isn't getting me off the couch to go truck shopping.
